So today marks 5 months for me. Should I call USCIS?

So I called and they gave me the currently processing July 12th date. Will that date ever move forward?

There are so many conflicting messages out there...someone posted July 22nd (from speaking to USCIS), the processing time thing on here says August....I am very confused about what is correct at the moment.

Five months will be the 15th for me. I tried to call at this number: National Customer Service Center (NCSC): 1-800-375-5283

I am unable to speak to a real person. Could someone point me in the right direction? What number do I need to call to speak with a live human being?

Enter your receipt number and listen to the case status. Once you have heard it, press 3 to report a problem with your case. Then you will be able to speak to a person.

Are you signed up to the online case status updates? That may be good. Someone said they got an email before they got a letter and someone else said it appeared on the website first.

This waiting is so hard. Im here with my husband in USA and I really dont want to go home still....hopefully not long now eh?

I received the I130 acceptance notification email/text message today 9/8/11. Routed to California Service Center....

How come there have been no approvals yesterday and today? The last date I see is from Feb 10th. Are people just lazy with updating their timlines? I hope they are just too distracted by Valentine's day that they haven't been on VJ. Better that then the alternative which would be CSC being slow again.

Perhaps people havent updated their timelines. I would like to think that rather than no one has been approved since friday!

From looking at UK timelines solely, the average time taken to be approved is 5 months. From the 10 or so pages I browsed through, there are a lot of August UK members still waiting approval so I would think that we are looking around 170-200 days before approval. However, thats assuming this is a linear process....

This is so immensely frustrating but lets hope the NVC is quicker. I'd like to be in the US by July.

I hear of a few August filers getting their NOA2s within past couple of days... That's good news!!!

I also read of someone who called CSC and was told that they're working on June 1 files. The caller said that they thought it was July 12. He told her to hold an came back and said that yes, July 12 is right... LOL... That sounds like a bunch of BS seriously... I don't know what they're doing at CSC but it seems that the right hand doesn't know what the left is doing...
