It's extremely frustrating being apart for so long. Feels like my life has been on hold and even worse that someone else has the power to bring it back to normal. I seriously don't understand why it takes so long. CSC needs to hire more employees. I def don't understand the people that haven't expedited and get approval within 1-3 months. Rather, I'm jealous cuz thats how it SHOULD be!!!

I was planning a trip for the summer but things are so violent in Egypt right now, my family has cancelled our traveling plans there. I'm more depressed than ever!

Yes this is exactly what is happeneing. We just keep on arguing all the time. I am so frustrated with it all. Our communication is so strained now. All I have going right now is the hope that things will be normal once we are finally together but every day that hope fades away just a little bit more.

Me too...I am trying to go and see him soon but of course, the anxiety is I will be turned away and we need the time together so much. I will be so happy once this is all over or we know whats going on!

If it helps, CSC told my husband to call back on 22nd of this month if we havent heard anything. I dont know if thats standard but there are so many different stories from other people its confusing!

Yes this is exactly what is happeneing. We just keep on arguing all the time. I am so frustrated with it all. Our communication is so strained now. All I have going right now is the hope that things will be normal once we are finally together but every day that hope fades away just a little bit more.

I know how it feels... all of it. It does feels like life's been put on hold but still, it is important to try and put everything into perspective. If my husband and I didn't do that, we'd go crazy waiting for each other. And yes, there are times when one of us is more frustrated than the other but we talk it out and console each other that we'll be together soon, God-Willing.

The fact that USCIS is handling/delaying applications is unfortunate (and yeah, they are working, I know) but it shouldn't affect your *own* relationship. That's just you and your spouse. Testing times come in every relationship, even when the spouses are living together from day one. It's how you deal with it that matters most because life is full of challenges and if it's the USCIS today, it'll be something else tomorrow.

Just some friendly advice... and take this from me, I *do* know how tough it is (after all, I am an October filer, just a month after you, and I haven't seen him since September last year, when he left for the US less than a week after our marriage). That's why I'll advise you, with all sincerity, to try and make the best out of this situation. Very soon, it'll be over... and you'll be able to move on!
