Confused Mike. I seen the Approval for this Visa last night. Congrats. But, did they not take her Passport at the Interview. ? You can't mail a Passport if you don't have it. Where is the 221g coming into play? What are they questioning? I assumed Apprroved. Whats this. Did they accept the Petition as is or use the Co-Sponsor.

The Consulate handing back a Passport and giving a 221g is more like a request to provide information on a particular subject. Either your approved or not. I see a Approval. Whats this ####### about a 221g.

Mailing a Passport back to Jamica to get a stamp. Why, that should have been stamped upon her arrival. Confused somewhat Mike.

Congrats. Paperwork I guess.

I hope someone from Jamaica replies for your request for information as I don't have the answers. Tim

Its standard procedure for people from Cayman islands interviewing in Jamaica to mail the passport in to get the Visa stamp but while she was told to pay the DHL and she can mail back her passport when she returns to cayman she got the 221g form with a check box marked plaese maill passport back to xxx embassy address.

They cant take her passport at interview because it takes a few days to issue the visa and she wouldnt be able to fly back to cayman for her work. Im just curious if its normal to give 221g just for this reason!
