Hello,

I ve been reading many threads..thanks all for taking time to reply..

I m filing aos from tourist visa and need to know..do I have to attach copies of my passport/visa/I 94 with each form as is written on the guide? Same for marriage certificate..

Or one set of copies is enough for all the forms?

I have a birth certificate, short form, but with name of my parents..is that enough?

Also, do u think I need to put emails ? I m attaching pictures, airline tickets, bank letter, insurance..?

Some people say it s better to send as much evidence as possible up front...others say to wait for the interview to bring it..

I m still hesitating regarding affidavits from friends...

Last question, for advance parole..we re having a reception organized for us overseas..I put that on the form and added a paper giving more details..will it help for faster processing if we add invitation, and booking of the hall..it s in December..

Thank u in advance..

You have to attach separate copies of all of those documents for each form. Even though you are sending them together, treat them as separate applications that need to have separate documentation. So whatever is required for I-130, you attach with the I-130, and whatever is required for the I-485 (or for any of the other forms), you attach with that form - even if it is the same documents that you already attached to the other form.

Doubt that you need to attach emails with all that other stuff you are sending, but it's up to you. If you feel like it adds some information or a level of proof that does not come across from the other evidence, then go ahead and send the emails as well. I personally would not frontload the application too much. If you have documents showing joint financial life, joint residence, insurance / phone plan etc. and then some photos, it's more than enough, and you can always bring more to the interview.

Your overseas wedding ceremony will not get your AP expedited. If you send your application soon, you should be fine though. It usually takes max 90 days to get the AP from the day USCIS acknowledged your application.

Your short form Birth certificate is probably NOT enough, but we don't know your country or anything, if you have overstayed your visa, and therefore can't help much more without more information. Good luck.

Filed: Citizen (apr) Country: Nigeria
Timeline

AP will not be good if you are an overstay from a visa. They give it to you you leave the country and then get banned in coming back. And you will need the long form birth certificate

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

@Little_My: I did translate my birth certificate professionally..thanks for ur previous advice:)

I will make as many copies as they want! hope I get the A/P on time..

@Harpa Timsah & NigeriaorBust: I m from Morocco..and the normal birth certificate they usually give is one with name, dob, place of birth, name of mother, name of father..so even if it s the short form, it s still including all the information they need, right?

and no, I didn t overstayed..I m assuming if I get no RFE, I should be fine:)

another question guys plz..do I need a criminal history if I got none? I just went again thru the instructions to I 485 and saw this..

also, I was on opt few years back..is my A# stil good?

and I read different things about that...do I put none, N/A or leave it blank for middle name?

Thank you for taking time to help!

Your A number is still yours. They will do their own background checks on you.
