I love this chapter and get a lot of use out of Corinthians whenever a Christian criticizes Islam as male-oriented and Muslima headscarves as oppressive and backward. The Quran never commands head covering, and definitely doesn't say that man is created in God's image and women are made to serve them. Wow.

Yes, its in the Bible. And the crazy man in the news story used these versus to justify beating to death his adopted Iberian daughter.

Thanks for making my point that anyone can justify their evil deeds misusing any religious beliefs. Most good people use them appropriately. And smart people are able to recognize when crazy or evil people are misusing them.

When people apply ideas and versus from the Bible literally, things can go horribly wrong. People need to use better judgement and know how to appropriately apply biblical teachings, so one needs to be smart enough to know what a "Rhetorical Question" and "Parables" are, for example.

Otherwise, a psycho will go to the Bible where it says, "If your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and cast it far from you" and you end up with an eyeball in your high ball.
