My wife and I have been married since 2009. We submitted a packet full of evidence in order to get her conditions lifted on her temporary green card in late May, 2011. Our packet included:

Pictures of us from our trip to her home town in the Philippines.

Two signed and notarized affidavits for proof of marriage.

Copies of our drivers license

Copies of our dental insurance

Our tax papers for the past two years

Proof of Costco membership

Flight tickets to the Philippines

Hotel receipts

A printout from our cell provider that she is on my account.

We don't have a rental agreement or any kind of mortgage information because I bought my house with my Dad before we got married. My house is in me and my Dad's name. The only way to get her on the mortgage is to refinance. My Dad has talked to a few banks about refinancing us and they won't do it, so we're kind of screwed there. My wife and I pretty much just rent the place from my Dad so he can take the tax credits for owning a rental property. He pays the gas and electric, the water and garbage is paid by my condo association.

My wife and I have kept separate bank accounts, but we are on each other's accounts. The idea is that she saves the money she gets from her account and I pay our satellite and internet bill out of mine.

We are planning on submitting:

Bank account statements from our banks with our address on them.

I plan to add her to my Scottrade account and have her as a beneficiary.

I plan to put her on my car title.

Write a letter describing our living situation and why we don't have a lease/mortgage.

I've added her to my Satellite account, but she doesn't show up on my bill.

I'm also thinking about adding her to my Comcast internet account, but not sure how much good it will do since I doubt she'll show up on my bill.

We're really freaking out about having the separate bank accounts and not having a lease/mortgage. Any other suggestions on evidence we can provide?

You can get approved without a joint mortgage or lease. If you are "on each other's accounts", isn't that joint if you both have access to the accounts. Get a letter from the bank or a copy of the form with both you signatures if both names don't appear on the statement. If you already applied, why are you looking for more stuff? Did you get a request for more?

Yeah, this is the RFE "Request for Evidence" (form I-797E). We didn't submit the bank account information for the conditional status to be lifted because we submitted it when we initially filed for her green card two years ago. The paperwork said to not send anything we've previously sent, just stuff from the past two years. We are now planning to get bank statements which should be joint accounts because I had her added to mine and vice versa. Both our names will appear on our statements.
