Well if an op=ed piece requires the writer to have a masters in the field that would...... have the effect of a lot less conversation (and only Egg-heads would have their voices heard).

On point 2, you could very well be right, Genesis speaks about a 6 day period of Creation but THe Bible also says something like -a day is as a thousand years and a thousand years is as a day to the Lord, which some take to mean God created time, he is not bound by his creation.

IN fact the days of creation kinda mirror an evolutionary process if one reads it.

+1 on the above statement.

In theological realms, there is the study of the two evolutionary possibilities which both support God working through evolution:

1) Deistic Evolution: The belief that God began the process of evolution within the context of created matter.

2) Theistic Evolution: Theistic evolution teaches that God began the creative process by bringing the first organism to life. He then discontinued His supernatural works, though He intervened to modify the process, and to insure the successful evolutionary trends.

I, personally, would put my chips on #2, but of course I am not a scientist so I can't prove it. I just believe it...

I guess my point is this: PLEASE don't think that all Christians are blindly denying science and supporting creationism. That is not the case with the majority of Christians.
