I am going around in circles on the USCIS website! I recently got married after entering on a K-1 Visa. Now I am putting together all of the paper work for the AOS, but was double checking the USCIS website under the Green Card section, and it mentions filing an I-130 with a I-485. As far as I am aware, this isn't necessary for a K-1 Visa holder but thought I'd double check!

Thanks as always!

No, you do not need a I-130. You are applying based off of your approved I-129F and subsequent marriage to petitioner. Here is the VJ Guide for K-1 AOS http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1k3aos

AOS for my husband
8/17/10: INTERVIEW DAY (day 123) APPROVED!!

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package
2/06/13: APPROVED!

Here is another good AOS link: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/235331-aos-ead-ap-from-k1-the-aussie-way-doc-list-included/

And are you getting the I-130 confused with the I-131 - Application for Travel Document (Advanced Parole)

I-130 is a petition for alien relative.

I-131 is application for travel document.

You don't need to file for I-130 as you already filed for I-129.

You don't need to file for I-131. You can file for I-485 only.
