Hello everyone. I was wondering if you could please shed some light on our current situation. My fiance is in the UK and has just had her medical examination. After the medical info is sent to the embassy and she sends all of the other required information to the embassy - How long will it take until she can have her interview?

I've read 10-12 weeks. Can that be correct? I sure hope it's much much quicker than that!

Our petition expires in November. I'm not only dying to be with her again but I definitely don't want our petition to expire before her interview. Is that even possible?

The embassy/consul automatically extends the petition validity. The November expiration date is moot.

good to know, thank you very much. Now I just really hope that she can get her interview soon. I left England a while ago and our separation seems like it's been a lifetime.

I know the feeling, I have been anxiously waiting for my interview date for weeks, it finally got issued on Friday for Oct 4th. You can look at my timeline too but just to summarise I had my medical 3rd August, got issued interview date Sept 2nd and the interview is October 4th so I would bet on approximately 2 months between sending in packet 3/attending medical and the actual interview date. Has your fiance sent in all the documents including the signed DS-2001 Interview readiness form? Good luck and hope you hear something soon!
