Vaccinations for Medical

My husband is 41 yrs of age and will be going for his medical in a month or two ( I hope )

I would like to make sure my information is correct before he goes.

He has had a dose of the MMR as a child but has no record of it since it was lost at his GP's office. The GP did state that he would write a letter stating that the vaccination was given to him as a child, would the letter safice or would he need to get the vaccine?

Also besides the MMR is the Td/Tdap the only other vaccine he needs for his age group?

Please correct me if I am wrong.

Medical will be done at Knights Bridge in London.

I didn't look up the exact requirements for his age but I do believe he will have to have something to either say he has had chicken pox or the vaccine. I had my MMR as a child and had record of it but for the AOS I had to redo it as this wasn't sufficient for the USA. He might as well get it again if he can cheaply to save some costs later down the road.

It all comes down to the judgment of the doctor he sees at his medical...and don't fight it...just do what the doc says

The varicella vaccine is not available in the UK so I understand the doctor at the medical will just ask if you have had chicken pox and take your word for it.

I am too old to have had the MMR vaccine (I don't think it was introduced in the UK until about 1988 as my own sons were amongst the first to be given it as far as I remember) but my doctor's surgery is giving it to me now. I have had the first dose and am going back for the second next week - they have to be given a month apart. They have also given me the Diptheria/Tetanus/Polio booster. They are not charging me.

Hi,

I had the vaccinations as stated on the list, all of them. I did not have proof so I though I would have them done. I was 45 when I had my medical. I went through London and I had no trouble. I would suggest to your husband to have them done to be on the safe side. Just my opinion though.
