do you mean apply for a tourist visa? if so she has to apply on her own and show strong ties to her country of origin. you can't bring her.

now if you would like to petition for her for a GC, then you have to wait until you become a US citizen.

Yeah I meant tourist visa... I understand that she has to show strong ties with her country but she would also need to show the purpose of her coming here.... As I m pregnant then what documents do I need to get for her to prove the authentic reason of her to come here also do I need to write a letter to show the extreme need of her to b here as incase of my first child I had the c-section and it was too hard for me to manage everything by myself as my husband had to manage his business and now my first child is so young then it would b way hard for me to manage everything... I hope u r getting me...

Would wait to see the reply

As soon as you have your Citizenship you can sponsor her to be a LPR, you can file as soon as you have the Citizenship certificate.

you can write all the letters you want, you can invite her, but unless she shows strong ties to her country, it won't do any good.

and if you explain too much, they might think that she will stay because you would need her here for more than 6 months, sounds more like you need her as a nanny and not only for visiting. and with that, they would deny her based on intent to stay.

you can write a letter stating that you would like her to visit and get to know her grandchildren, but take care of you and your children will get a big flag.

You as the USC dont have anything to do with the tourist visa application. Your mother fills out the simple forms to submit.

They dont care about your pregnancy. She can tell them thats why she wants the visa but it will have little to do with what they decide.

She must be ready to prove beyond doubt that she must return. This is the strongest ties rule. This is the most important aspect of her interview. She should prepare in writting the reasons she must return. Keep in mind all people with visas are considered intending immigrants.

It can very difficult to get these visas especially from some countries. Pakistan is one. To do this she must understand how to present her info during the interview.

Well I m not USC but I m a LPR... I understand that she has to show that she would go back but can u pls give sufficient reason for her to prove that she only intends to visit rather than staying here forever... My brother's wedding is planned in July soon after my delivery so how can she make the interviewer know that she would b back to organize her son's wedding... I need some advice on that... Thanks

Your status in the USA has nothing to do with her tourist visa application. Her reasons for returning would be unique to her situation. I can tell you from experiance its not easy to portray this.

While being there for the birth of you child & going back for her sons wedding may be important to you or her its wont be to USCIS. They are dealing with the millions of illegals many of whom used tourist visas as a way to gain access to the USA.

One thing in her favor is her age. I have seen people get the visa simply because they explained they wouldnt want to live in the USA & leave everything they had always know. The language, culture ect of her country. Help her think thru all the important reasons she has that force her to return. Nothing wrong with telling them why she is coming & what she needs to go back but that wont be enough.

The real problem with this is she will never know what will happen until she trys. No one can tell either of you what the officer will decide when she explains at the interview. This can prove to be an expensive lesson in how difficult it can be.
