Birth Certificate Question for interview

My fiancee has her Mexican birth certificate, but I want to make sure it's the right one. Does anyone know what info. is on a Mexican birth certificate or if they even have short form versions?

hi, if it's for your interview, it should be the same one you submitted with your packet. but to answer your question, they use to have longer versions that included information about grandparents and witnesses. But they recently have made newer versions, which as smaller and only include the parents information.

There is no packet to send in for a K-1. The interview would be the first time the beneficiary's Mexican birth certificate would be needed.

To the OP> As long as it has her birth info and the parents names and info, then it is good. I do not think Mexico has a short one. My husband's has the grandparents info too, and it is a really long piece of paper.

Yeah, I was going to say hers hasn't come into play yet until the interview. I don't even know if Mexico has long form or short form certificates. I think they just have one kind. The only information hers has is her parent's names and nationality. Everything else on it is official with a civil registry stamp on it.

She is from Mexico (Puebla). She ordered a birth certificate last year when she had to renew her passport so I would imagine it is the new version. It contains her parent's names and nationality, but no other information about them. I've read that long form birth certificates have more information about the parents like dates and places of birth, but it might just be the US that does that. What does yours have?

if she got it last year she most have the new version they started giving those since 2008.I have both and old one and new one.
