So we received the email that we could apply for our visa interview. I picked December 29th because we live 2 hours away from the office and that is one of our few vacation days. They emailed me back and said we couldn't make an appointment that far in advance, but it we emailed them again in October that they would schedule it then....

So I'm filling out the paperwork and making sure the tax transcripts are here and preparing my husband for his medical in October....

And then I realize that I am terribly, horribly depressed. I've been thinking about this freakin' greencard non-stop since last March. And now that we're in the homestretch and everything has gone more or less smoothly, I find myself feeling so sad! Like we're never really going to get out of here.

Has anyone else felt this way? Or am I simply losing the plot. ;-)

hi, first of all congratulations!! ur case is soo far in advance. I just sent the I-130 for my husband last month. and To be honest, i've been depressed since i had to leave my husband in Mexico. Everything about this process is nerve-wrecking. I feel anxious every other minute, feeling like i can't breathe, like everything is just so out of our control. i have no motivation to go out or have any kind of fun bc theonly thing on my mind is my husband and getting his green card. so to make a long story short, i know exactly what you're feeling. But you need to find the strength and courage to get thru these last steps. I don't know what your religious background is, so i hope i don't offend you, but pray to God to give you that extra energy and strength and determination you need. You might be feeling like this bc it's been such a long process that you just can't believe that your dreams are finally coming true. in any case, don't let yourself sink deeper into the depression hole. You're so close to the end, just need to give one last push! =) take care, good luck, and God bless

Thank you so much for the response, I needed to hear that today. :-) I hope you will be with your husband soon. I have been praying, and it does help. You're right, it just seems like SUCH a long wait. It doesn't help that we really love my family and they are going through hard emotional times right now. (sigh). We will keep moving forward. :-) Good luck to you as well!

Yeah I've been getting more and more depressed since our interview on june 15th.. we are in the ap dark abyss and nothing has any updates for us.. the only good thing that happened is the co called me july 25th did an impromtu interview over the phone and finally told us our case was fine he is sending my husband into name checks... so now wait again...

We are at the last part of this process but it scares me to hell when i read bad things but i have to remind myself that its not everybody it happens to.. its situations like ap found something bad during name checks or something of that nature.

Ive been getting daily migraines and my emotions are high.. everbody where I work is always asking if he's coming yet... i work with a high volume of customers and they too ask daily... Im glad they are happy for us and waiting too for him to be here. Even had a customer promise us a dinner out with them as soon as he arrives.. and another one promise to cook him the southern chicken and dumplings :)

It's so hard.. I miss everything about him and the depression is taking its toll but I also have to remember that when your running a race its that last part that is the hardest... when you see the finish line ahead your legs are paining and your breath is gone but its just ahead so we keep moving forward to the goal....

This too will pass for all of us.. and we won't remember how we felt.. we will only feel the happiness and the love :)
