My fiance (not a us citizen) just gave birth last month outside of USA. My newly born baby (currently residing outside of USA) just got her US passport (since I'm a us citizen she automatically became a us citizen). My fiance and my daughter will be flying in sometime next month after my fiance receives her visa. Does my newly born baby have to get medical exams or require any specific documents other than US passport when coming to USA?

The US passport is the only thing required. However, I might look into whether the US required/recommended immunizations for a newborn are available in your fiance's country. The lack of proper immunizations might cause an issue at POE. Typically, these are recorded on a yellow international immunization record.

Good Luck!

Not a baby, but during our AOS, wife and stepdaughter's home country were required to have a lot more shots and vaccinations than what was required here. We provided all those records, but our USCIS approved doctor said, those don't have to be listed.

Recall that my wife to be and stepdaughter required visas to come here, but don't recall them mentioning medical requirements to get those. Do recall they needed money for plane tickets. Also recall it was hell in getting permission for my stepdaughter to come here and you may even have the same problem in even bringing your own baby here. May want DNA proof its your kid, and of course, a US passport. Whether the kids home country would even let the kid leave may be another problem. But that varies widely from country to country.

I know with my newest granddaughter, she wasn't a new born baby, she was more of a pincushion with all those needles stuck in her. Also hear a lot of debate whether some of these shots are doing good or causing other forms of permanent damage, but this medical stuff is not my area of expertise.

Our AMA never heard about a lifetime tuberculous vaccination, that sure caused us problems with those outdated skin tests and a lot of extra money. Since I kissed my wife, shouldn't I be examined too? No, you are not coming here was the reply. But they were forced to take those zillion side effect pills for about a year. Thank God, they survived that.

World Health Organization (WHO) yellow booklet with immunizations recorded in it. Available in some countries.
