Timeline

I called today and ask to talk to level 2 Officer, and i get to talk to one nice Officer whom sound so helpful and said my case was Pre-Approved and i will hear from them within 1 to 2 mounth, is anybody on this boat? please need help to know how long it takes to Approve it and get the Oath Letter. Thanx for any help

07/13/11 - Interview in Fairfax,VA - easiest 10 minutes of my life

07/19/11 - Oath ceremony in Fairfax, VA

01/12/10 - Biometrics completed

Yea i had my interview 2 month ago and a name change and the IO said u passed the interview and test but decition cannot be made but after 45 days i called and talk to level 2 Officer and told me my case is Pre-Approved and i will hear from them later. But my question is, am i Approve or will it take long to get Oath date? Thanx for any advice

When I had my interview, I also passed and I was told that a decison could not be made at that time.i got a letter three days later asking me to attend the oath ceremony the following week.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

It actually took two months since my interview before I heard from them again. BUT, that is the norm in my local office, that's why I didn't really worry about it.

N-400 NATURALIZATION

04/06/2011 - Received

04/07/2011 - NOA

04/07/2011 - Check cashed

04/14/2011 - Biometrics appointment in the mail

04/21/2011 - Early Biometrics (was scheduled on May 4, 2011)

05/09/2011 - Case Status Notification - In line for interview and testing

05/10/2011 - Case Status Notification - Interview scheduled

05/14/2011 - Interview Appointment Letter in the mail

06/21/2011 - Interview Appointment Date

06/29/2011 - Case Status Notification - Placed in the oath scheduling que

08/16/2011 - Case Status Notification - Oath ceremony scheduled

09/15/2011 - Oath Taking - good riddance!

09/23/2011 - Applied for Passport

10/08/2011 - Passport in the mail

10/17/2011 - Certificate of Naturalization in the mail -- OFFICIALLY DONE!
