Apparently a govt issued birth certificate with the raised seal from the Republic of Kenya is not genuine according to the U.S. Embassy-Nairobi. This being brought up 6 months after CRBA application was submitted and after the DNA results prove its my infant son.

Any suggestions?

Oh my goodness, this Embassy is REALLY getting ridiculous. I don't know what to do to help. What did they say they wanted then if that's not "good enough" for them?

Try posting this same question in the "Nairobi Embassy Thread". Perhaps someone there could help you as well.

The U.S. Embassy-Nairobi says to bring in a "genuine" birth certificate.

I'm sorry...I just do not understand them and why they feel the need to be SO difficult???? If the genuine one you brought with the raised seal from the Republic of Kenya wasn't genuine enough, perhaps they should tell you "where" you are supposed to get one that IS good enough for them. I have no suggestions, but I am sorry you are having such a time with them.

Why they are so difficult - well I am sure you know this answer better, there are too many fraud cases from Nairobi and too many fake documentation floating around too.

Since the person applying is USC I am sure CO would spend time with her and give her proper information wht is required.
