Hi, I just received an email from NVC regarding a "Checklist Letter Response". Here is the detail:

When responding to the National Visa Center, please include the bar code sheet that came with this

letter. Failure to include the bar code sheet may cause a delay in the processing of your case. The bar

code sheet should be placed on top of all documents being submitted for this case and mailed to the

address provided.

______1 - IMMIGRANT VISA APPLICATION PART 1:_______________________

The National Visa Center is waiting for an Immigrant Visa Application to be submitted for this case.

The Principal Applicant and any other Applicants who will be accompanying him or her to the United

States must now download and complete an Immigrant Visa Application; please visit the following

website for instructions:

Please submit the Immigrant Visa Application form(s) and required supporting documents for each

Applicant in one package to the National Visa Center; sending this information separately will delay

As I know, I just sent my AOS and IV packets last week. Is this a RFE? Do I need to call NVC and check it out? Or this is a normal email response for IV packet and I can ignore it? Thanks!

We got this after sending both our packets too. Most likely means that your AOS was reviewed and found to be complete but they think they are still waiting for the DS-230 because it has not been reviewed yet.

You should talk to an operator to confirm this.

I just called the NVC and the operator said they already reviewed my AOS and still waiting for the IV. Looks like they take about 3 business days to review an AOS and IV, I hope I can hear something good about my IV tomorrow!

Today the IV bill showed PAID and I emailed the IV package to the NVC. Now I'm waiting on for the case complete. I see the end of this process on the horizon. Once an interview date is assigned, I will see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Strange! I got my NOA2 eight days ago from CSC but NVC says they still haven't received anything. Is that normal?

Well....I knew I would have to wait a month on a case number anyway, so I guess I'll just be patient.

Yeah, that's been normal for a few months now. It's been taking longer than usual for USCIS to send the approved petitions to NVC, and then it's taking awhile for NVC to assign case numbers. Just keep calling every day; you'll eventually get your case number

Are you sure you're inputting your USCIS receipt number correctly?

Don't forget you should be calling a NVC operator at least once a day. That'll be how you FIRST find out about your case number (if you're on top of things). The AVR is usually a few days behind.

Are you using IE? It's pretty much the only browser that works with government sites as those kind of sites are designed for IE, and only IE. They don't care about testing it in other browsers.
