My co sponsor is getting the information in case of a RFE. For proof of current income- is it ok to use recent pay stubs in stead of an employment letter? hes got that on him so rather just send those.

Thanks

Remember, proof of current income is optional, so you can send whatever you want. But yes, a pay stub is one kind of proof of income.

Yeah, Saylin is correct  . My I-864 has been successfully approved without any employment letter. I've just submitted last pay-stub.

What a place the NVC is !

Just got a fake RFE from the NVC on DS-260 (DS-230) civil docs:

"______1 - IMMIGRANT VISA APPLICATION PART 1:_______________________

The National Visa Center received your DS-260 form. We are waiting for the traveling applicant’s

supporting civil documents to be submitted to the NVC. Your online Immigrant Visa Application will be

reviewed upon receipt of your supporting documentation."

I had to call the NVC, spoke with an operator (she was kinda rude and non-professional), explained that once DS-260 was submitted on Thursday, 13th, the supporting docs had been submitted right away as well. In addition, I told her that I had gotten 2 e-mails from the NVC confirming receiving DS-260 docs (BC, PC etc). And I asked her why would have they sent this e-mail and how I'm supposed to respond to this e-mail. And she was not able to explain, instead started explaing their favorite - "20 days".

After some crappy explanation and telling me again something about 20 days (which I couldn't relate to this e-mail) the bottom-line from her was: just disregard this e-mail.

I shouldn't be surprised with the NVC, but still, anytime you get some ####### from the NVC and, the person you're talking to, has the slightest clue what's going on, I'm still amazed how people from the NVC don't know even what's going inside of their own facility. I mean, there's no communication between different departments from the NVC.

All they definitely can do - just read the scripts and send useless e-mails.

Nickky! We've switched over to the October thread. Come on over. Don't even get me started NVC - false RFE for a birth certificate that they thought was missing but was actually there and now they need to check if it's an "authentic certified copy" (it is, why would I send anything else), all of which will take an extra 10-15 days for a supervisor to review it. M#*$&F#(*$)@ers.

Just got e-mail from the NVC - CASE COMPLETED  !

OH YAY!!!!! CONGRATS NICKKY!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you, Allegra  ! So, I was far behind you, regular processing guys :P , but finally I caught up with !

In fact, I called the NVC yesterday for the 2nd time, and that next operator was far cry from the previous. She (2nd operator) was really nice, friendly and professional. On my question if that was gonna bother you guys if I'd keep calling the NVC, she responded: "This is what we are here for!". I liked that

P.S. Can't move to October thread, my case was received in September :P . Unless, Saylin authorizes that shift :D.
