I didn't send either of those. No RFEs. I wouldn't worry about it :)

Really? Do you mean you didnt send this evidence of the ''sponsor'' or ''co sponsor''?

I know you dont need to send proof of citizenship for the sponsor- since thats already done with the I 130, but do you need to for the co-sponsor?

I sent out my dad's taxes + w2s and he filled out a I-864a. I don't think you need to have proof of citizenship, at least not that I am aware of. I hope you don't get an RFE for that. Maybe have it ready just in case they send you an RFE, but I think they can check the co-sponsor's social security number if they need to know.... I am no expert. I just think that it'll be OK if you sent everything else.

Yesterday, we received an email from NVC, the 5th checklist cover letter of our case (see my timeline/signature below) and this is what it says:

INSTRUCTIONS FOR: BENEFICIARY'S NAME

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

______F - FINANCIAL EVIDENCE:______________________________________

The NVC has received the requested Immigrant Visa Application (DS-230). However, we are still waiting for the response to the checklist letter for the Affidavit of Support (Form I-864). Please return the requested information so that we may complete the processing of your case.

When responding to the National Visa Center, please include the bar code sheet that came with this letter. Failure to include the bar code sheet may cause a delay in the processing of your case. The barcode sheet should be placed on top of all documents being submitted for this case and mailed to the address provided.

My question is, does this mean that they've already finished reviewing our IV packet and found it complete? We just mailed our new I-864 form (as requested in checklist cover letter #4) and we're expecting NVC to receive it october 13. :)

I wish id done it separately rather than waited.

Ive just realised that I haven't sent proof of the co sponsors citizenship so will get an RFE for that. 2 week delay?

And, Do I need to send the co sponsors employment letter as proof of current employment (I sent the recent tax return, 2010)??

Oh and do you think I could scan this information to them to speed it up?

Thanks Saylin your awesome!

You should get an RFE for not sending in the co sponsor's proof of citizenship. It's been taking NVC about a week to get around to reviewing packages, so sometime next week you should hear. While you're waiting, get his proof and another barcode and prepare to mail it to NVC when you get the RFE letter.

No, the employment letter is optional, but recommended for the AOS package as it's good proof of current income.

And no, you can't scan it as you're not from an eligible EP country. You're going to have to mail it to NVC.

I didn't send either of those. No RFEs. I wouldn't worry about it :)

Really? You didn't send proof of the co-sponsor's citizenship and didn't get an RFE? blink.gif That is honestly a first and they might have missed it. I would really recommend bringing a copy of the proof to the interview, just in case.

well I did include a photocopy of my birth certificate to show he was my dad and then I photocopied both our licenses to show that we both live at the same address. I guess being that my co-sponsor was my dad and under the same roof was easy to get an approval from.

Yeah, I was thinking maybe cause he was your father, NVC was okay without proof of his citizenship/residency. Although, since you copied your driver's licenses, that's good proof he's a resident, as you can't get a DL unless you're a resident (as far as I know).

Please remember, it's the IV bill I was talking about as that's connected with the DS-3032. The AOS has nothing to do with the DS-3032 as they're two different tracks.

Hope you get the IIN for your step-son's case. Have you called and asked an operator yet?

And yeah, I dunno why some countries are on that list while others aren't. You would think a lot more European countries would be on there as well as some from South America...

My wife sent the DS-3032 from her email for her & my step-son. Called NVC this morning and said they are checking with USCIS on "something" about his case...maybe they're checking the relationship?? I mean you would think it's already checked if it was approved?? ugh!!! I hate this wait!!

Turkmenistan...I mean, no offense...but really?!?!
