Payment of AOS bill and invoicing of IV bill do not go hand in hand. Since your DS-3032 was just accepted, it will take a few days for the IV bill to be invoiced.

Hey everybody! Got my noa2 today! Can I join you guys?

Congrats! I'm glad your case is finally moving. There's quite a long wait for the NVC case number lately though, so be prepared to wait awhile. Seems to be averaging 30 days or more.

In the meantime, if you haven't already done so, read the guides about the affidavit of support and DS-230 procedures and start gathering everything you need. NVC moves fairly quickly once you get your case number. :)

USCIS: CR-1 Visa @ Vermont Service Center (Approved in 140 days from NOA1)

03/07/11: I-130 package sent to Chicago Lockbox

03/14/11: NOA1 via text and email (03/21/11: in the mail); petition routed to VSC

07/27/11: NOA2 via text and email (07/30/11: received in the mail)

08/01/11: Case received at NVC

09/19/11: Case complete and forwarded to consulate

10/19/11: Interview (APPROVED!!!)

11/18/11: POE

12/12/11: 2- year Green Card arrives in the mail

12/22/11: Applied for SSN at local office

12/26/11: SSN arrives in the mail

Quite a few of us currently (last week) going through this stage of NVC have had this issue. The payment portal shows the IV bill as "not paid", but you cannot select it for payment, right? We had to wait till NVC sent us the IV bill via email before we were able to pay. Took about 3 days between the IV bill showing up and receiving the email. Interestingly enough, we also received our IV package coversheet almost immediately after paying the fee (before payment was done being processed).

Not sure if it's a glitch in the system or if they are changing the way they do things at NVC. Do post your experience after you make payment! :)

Just like you said, I was able to select the IV bill to pay after I received the IV email from NVC this afternoon!

Also, the document cover sheet is available now even the payment still in process!

Anyway, I will wait for the payment status changes to "paid" before I send out the IV package!

You can call them to get it if you don't want to wait for the email. Some operators will not give it to you for whatever reason, and if that happens, just call back and ask the next one.

I went ahead and paid the AOS bill this evening. I had been holding out until the case went from paper to electronic so I could print that bar code cover sheet that would be scanned and emailed along with everything else. However, I figure that I should be able to do that after conversion to electronic.

11/08/2011 - Interview - approved!!

Hurrah - we got our case number today!! And the IIN number - no idea what I am supposed to do with that! Going to book my medical tomorrow - had the second dose of the MMR vaccine today so it's good timing. Although when I asked for a printout of my vaccination record I was amazed to see that the vaccines I had at 3 months were on there - that was a loooong time ago!

We got our NOA2 on 8th August and we are still waiting for our case number!

Yeah I just called them and they said its recently been received, they said that when i called them 2 weeks ago. I dont think ill be leaving until Jan anyway though.

My Sister's case approved on 08/09/2011 and haven't receive any case number yet. The last email she got responsed from NVC was

Dear Sir/Madam:

Your inquiry has been received at the National Visa Center (NVC).

The NVC recently received this petition. The appropriate agent

(applicant, petitioner, or attorney) will receive instructions for the

further processing of this petition within 6 to 8 weeks.

Is anybody has idea when she could receive her case number!!

P.S. she is IR1 category, sponsored by her US husband.
