Yes, it's possible they overlooked it. But you're sure he entered the correct amount for line 25? If he filed a 1040, he put the total income or if he filed a 1040EZ he put the gross income? Sometimes, it's not just the sum on the W2s, depending on your job. It fluctuates a bit. I know my husband's income on the IRS transcripts were different than just the sum of his W2s, especially when he was a student.

Anyways, if he did put the correct amount, you can try requesting for a supervisor and asking them if they can review it again.

I probably should not post here, but I was wondering after case is complete at NVC, when and how do you find out your interview date?

NOA 1 November 15, 2010

NOA 2 August 25, 2011

Of course you can post that question here! This is the NVC thread after all! :)

Once your case is complete, the case is put into a queue for an interview date to be scheduled. Each country sends NVC their availability for the month for visa interviews, and NVC schedules accordingly. So, once your case reaches the front of the queue, an interview date will be scheduled. NVC will then email you (if you gave both email addresses to an operator at the beginning) with an interview letter, giving you the date and time, as well as the documents you need to bring.

WHEN the interview date will be scheduled varies by each country. Some people get their interview date the very next day! Others have to wait a few days or weeks. And then there's a few consulates/embassies out there that have to wait MONTHS. The only two that come to mind is Ghana (where they have to wait a year) and then Cairo (currently 6 months, but it's suggested it'll be going down soon cause their backlog is diminishing). I don't know the times for Turkey, but I think it's about average, about 2 months from CC to interview date (but don't quote me on that!)

Just want to give thanks to Saylin, I will read all information you posted! my petition got approved sep 27 and received at NVC a few days later, I call everyday lol maybe I can get lucky!

Since you're going through Mexico where EP and online forms are REQUIRED, you might want to give my wiki a read. It won't be the exact same process for you, but it'll cover the basics.

And I'm hoping you get your case number soon! Make sure when you get it, that you ask for the Invoice ID number as well as the Beneficiary ID number. Good luck!

Operator said they reviewed the DS-230 and it is okay. She said to call back tomorrow and they will have probably reviewed the I-864. I pray it is complete tomorrow. I will let you know. Thanks.

Allegra.... I need you to stay with me!! Please hurry and fix it all. I feel you are my closest friend. And I want us to succeed together. I am sorry for the error in your payments. I hope it fixes quickly.

Now we know if NVC doesnt take the money then the account was wrong or something.

At least I know you will be back on track in a few days.

I signed onto NVC October thread so I will try to read both places until I wean myself to October only.

Wow, you actually got an email saying they got your DS-261? That must be new as I never got the above email. I'd like to update my wiki with this. Can you PM me the entire email you received? As well as the date you submitted the DS-261 and the date you received the above email? Id' greatly appreciate it! :)

Saylin, that was the NVC's respond on my e-mail from 10/5/2011 (sent from wife's e-mail box) regarding any news on DS-261 and IV bill invoicing.

Please, let me know if you still need it and I'll e-mail to you.

Like I've mentioned before, EP doesn't really give any advantages, except that you submitting scanned copies of the originals.

Look on this thread: people with regular processing submitted their DS-3032 and within next 1-2-3 days they got their IV invoiced, paid, mailed their DS-230 packages.

And I'm stuck for a whole week and don't get it  .

P.S. I got respond on my sent I-864 (I've not initiated that one though): just regular #######. If you want - I can e-mail to you as well.

Just let me know.

Ohh, thought NVC emailed you that on their own. Since that's not the case, never mind. I just want the emails that NVC sends of their own accord.

And I do find it weird that it's been taking so long for you to get the IV bill invoiced. Even though you're EP, it shouldn't be taking this long. Look at other recent EP cases, and their IV bills got invoiced a few days after DS-3032/DS-261 acceptance. Hopefully you get it soon so you can pay and continue with this process...

Paid it again. Sent them an e-mail and called telling them I have corrected my mistake

Yes, will now have to wait for the IV bill one. Hopefully it won't stall the packages -I have already sent - too much.

We're almost there!!!! I'll come join you in the October filers. And I am sure that while you are waiting, the backlog in Cairo will clear up!

Are you sure the consulate will get my new ongoing relationship evidence if I send it with tbe ds230? Thinking about Casa makes me such a wreck.

Am I 100% sure, no. I don't think anyone here can be 100% sure.

Hmm, as far as I knew, only one officer reviews the package. But since you talked to an operator, it sounds like you might be getting a supervisor review, aka another set of eyes. Hopefully they'll review it, see the birth certificate, and accept the package :)

I really hope so! I'm worried that is gonna take longer than just sending in a new birth certificate though.... but is it too late to do that now, since it's already sent on for review? Don't want to confuse them by sending another one in :)

This is such a bummer, was hoping for a speedy case closed. But I guess you never know what the NVC will throw at you :)

Any ideas on how long should we wait before we call them and ask about the review?

Thanks for all your replies Saylin! You're so helpful!
