Have your funds been withdrawn? mine still have not. The operator said that there is no problem again today.

No, the funds are still in the bank account. We're calling again today, hoping to speak to a supervisor. If the payment is rejected we'd like to know so we can pay it again.

Also getting a little stressed out since our IV package was delivered on Friday but the NVC still hasn't confirmed that they received it. Could this be related to the payment issue? How long does it usually take from they receive the papers till they review it and/or send out an RFE? If they haven't received the payment, shouldn't they send an RFE for it? Will they hold off on reviewing the papers till they get the payment? Sorry for all the questions, as my husband says, I worry too much :)

An operator can only "see" if a package has been received once it gets to an officer's desk. So your package is very likely just sitting in the mail room or heading its way to a desk. Just be patient, it'll probably still be a few more days.

Thanks Saylin! My husband called the NVC today. They have the package but said we'll get an RFE for the original birth certificate. Which I'm a 100 % sure I included in the package. I'm hoping they just missed it, but am worried they didn't accept the one I sent in, which is the only one the Norwegian gov't issues. How can we get them to look over it again?

Should we just send a new original when we get the RFE, just to make sure. Is that faster than getting the NVC to look at the package again?

If you're 100% sure you sent an original birth certificate, then call up an operator and ask to speak with a supervisor. They'll be able to pull your package and review it themselves. This might take a couple of days though. Haven't seen any recent supervisor reviews, so I can't really tell you how long it'd take, but I'd suspect it'd be a few days. Which might be faster than getting another birth certificate and sending it in again and waiting for it to get to an officer's desk. This is all my opinion though :)

Can someone please help answer another question?

The NVC shows the IV bill available NOT PAID since yesterday but it will not allow me to pay it? I cannot select it.

Does it stay that way for awhile or is there something wrong with my browser or the payment portal?

Thank you

The only browser you should be using with the payment portal (and any government site) is IE. What browser are you using?

Hehe, good!

Well, if you're using IE, then it must be a problem with the payment portal. Have you tried calling NVC and inquiring about it?

We were impatient too but I seem to remember it took a couple of days. As soon as the email arrived we could pay.

Hi Cathy,

How long did it show up as NOT PAID till you got the email? I see some people waited like 5 days after 3032 to pay 230 bill.

Thank you
