Haha, I don't drink :P But I'll take chocolate :D Or money to pay for school :P

But I honestly love helping everyone out here! It feels great to know that I'm helping others out, reassuring them, etc.

Yup, if you've sent the IV package already, then that's the false RFE.

And I believe, yes, that they've reviewed and accepted your AOS package. Just call on Monday and confirm with an operator.

Thanks Saylin!

Oh no, my husband just checked his bank account and the money for the IV bill haven't been pulled out of there. It's so strange cause the IV bill still shows paid like it has since we paid it last week. We called the NVC and the operator was gonna check with a supervisor but she thought it meant the payment was rejected. But why does it still show paid?! And why would they reject it? The money is in the account and my husband double checked everything to make sure he did it right.

Has anyone else experienced this? Do you know if this will delay the process a lot? We have already sent the IV papers, since the bill showed "paid", and they were delivered on Friday. Is this bad?! I'm worried... of course something had to go wrong :bonk:

Well what happened was I called NVC and spoke to Gary, who isn't the friendliest operator but who said that it was fine that it'll show up on our bank statements in a couple of days. I also got an e-mail back from NVC (the one I sent correcting my account number information) and they replied that my case is eligible for further processing. Let's hope it is OK and that we won't get bad news any time soon. I am about to send out my package as well. *Crossing fingers*

Can someone tell me the reason why I cannot send off my Aos packet immediatey after I pay the AOS fee?

Why must we wait till it shows paid?

What will happen if I use the bar coded sheet they sent me in the email that says you must return THIS sheet will AOS packet and send my packet off the same day I paid the fee and it shows in progress?

Thank you

Does anyone know anyone that got theirs sent back?

I called "Jim" at NVC. He said Aw go ahead and send it anyway. I said wont they reject it? He said well, you are essentially paying for paper so we would review it, we just prefer that you wait till it is paid so we can process it. But it will be reviewed.

So, now what to do? Do I feel like a daredevil? or am I chicken? Lol

I will probably wait till tomorrow. I do not want my case delayed.

Thanks

Why must we wait till it shows paid?

Because NVC won't process your AOS without having those fees paid :D. NVC has to clear your account before they start doing something

What will happen if I use the bar coded sheet they sent me in the email that says you must return THIS sheet will AOS packet and send my packet off the same day I paid the fee and it shows in progress?

You have to return bar coded cover sheet from the payment portal (once your AOS status changes to PAID - although I was able to print that cover sheet right after the payment was in process and checked with the sheet afterwords - same content). Which e-mail are you talking about?

Well except that I am terrified about getting some RFEs and am now officially broke.

Can't wait until this is all over, it's making me a crazy woman.:wacko:

Allegra, did you call them for the second time? And when did you get IV bill invoiced? I mean, in the evening?

I woke up at 5.00 am (West coast time) to call them. The guy on the phone wasn't much help, he just told me to wait it out.

At noon, I got an e-mail saying that my inquiry had been received and that my petition was eligible for further processing and that I would receive

an instruction package regarding further processing of this petition.

I called to see if it was actually PAID and he seemed to say it was, though I don't know..... seems like it went a bit fast.

Exactly an hour and a half later, I got another e-mail with the IV invoice - I checked the portal to make sure they weren't punking me and indeed, my bill was generated.

Since I was at work and had to rush to the post office afterward + put more money in my checking account, I ended up sending the package too late (will be delivered express tomorrow) and paid my bill only an hour ago.

I'll call again tomorrow if my money still hasn't been taken from my account.

You should e-mail them if you still haven't gotten an invoice for your IV bill. It looked like it did the trick for me!

What was in that instruction package? 2 .pdf files with general info from NVC? Something like "Welcome to NVC!" ?

You should e-mail them if you still haven't gotten an invoice for your IV bill. It looked like it did the trick for me!

I'm using another trick. Last week I called NVC on Monday asking something - next day I got all necessary e-mails from NVC, although the operator traditionally was saying about 10-20 business days.

Same today. Will see, what happens tomorrow and if the trick worked out

Yeah it was like the AOS bill thingy except it said a whopping $404 bucks instead.

(BTW when I read old threads, the prices were $70 and $400 back in the day- how is that fair???)

You know what I think, we should all just call you tricky nickky from now on.
