14 days ago I emailed my DS-230 package.

9 days ago I received an email saying the package had been accepted and to wait 20 business days.

6 days ago I received an email from NVCInquiry asking for the DS-230 package I had already sent (previous email came from NVCElectronic). I figure this is the false RFE that I have seen others get.

From last week until now, NOTHING..........

It seems after moving along at a nice pace, the progress of my file has come to a screeching halt. I thinking of calling the NVC on Friday, although, not much may come of such a call as they will just feed me the 20 business day line from the email I received on the 19th.

Tomorrow is your day for CC. Hang in there.

May 24, 2011 NOA1

Sept 11, 2011 NOA2-took 19 days to get case number

Sept 30, 2011 NVC number and IIN received Friday-gotta wait till Monday

Oct 13, 2011 Case Completed- 13 days from receiving case number Took 32 days from NOA2

Nov 30, 2011 Notified of Interview date

January 19, 2012 Interview- 240 days from NOA1

INTERVIEW RESULTS-APPROVED WITH 14 WEEKS AP--but he got his visa in 56 days!!!!!!

PLEASE EDIT YOUR TIMELINE IN YOUR PROFILE SO OTHERS CAN LEARN HOW LONG EACH STEP TAKES IN THIS PROCESS

WOOHOOOOOO I made the September cut ;)

Unfortunately no EP for France, which is sad, but I am so glad I got all of that NOA stuff behind me.

Grats on finally getting the case number! The rest of the process will start going very fast!

Just thought of something.....if I am not in EP can I still send the DS-3032 by e-mail or do I have to send it by mail?

Anyone can email the DS-3032, whether eligible for EP or not.

yes they said that all information will be sent to agent's address indicated. they also gave link to downloaded AOS forms to file.

I went to pay the IV fee and it will not let me check Select next to not paid on the 404.00. I have already paid the 88.00

Well, it's still gonna take a few days after the DS-3032 being accepted for the IV bill to be invoiced. It'll probably be early next week.

I'm calling an operator tomorrow morning instead of waiting for Friday like I had intended. I decided to call the AVR (I had to use the old GUZ case number as the GZO is unrecognized by the AVR) and the AVR says there is incomplete information.

Seriously NVC, are you that incompetent???:bonk: I may end up having to resend the DS-230 package because of this.

I spoke with a very helpful NVC operator this morning, I will have to re-submit the DS-230 and it's 100% my fault that this will occur. I missed a small typo when I submitted the form and only noticed after my call with the operator. Very angry with myself. :bonk: :bonk: :bonk: :bonk: :bonk: :bonk: :bonk: :bonk:

Yes, if the AOS bill is appearing as PAID, you're allowed to send in the AOS package.

But you can't send in th eIV package until the IV bill has been paid and appears as PAID.

What happened? You typed something wrong on the DS-230 or in the email?

Hopefully despite this, you'll get a CC early next week.

Thank God for your help. I read more instructions on the AOS and it said if I am the only sponsor with just W-2 Salary earnings I can file the 864 EZ. I have already filled out the regular 864. So confused. It also says something about being set up to file electronically. How do I know if I am set to file electronically???

Shame on NVC!!!

Since AVRS could not find the case the number and my sister sent out an email to NVC. Here is Email response:

Dear Sir/Madam:

Your inquiry has been received at the National Visa Center (NVC).

Unfortunately, there is no way for us to update the automated phone system. You may continue to contact us through email for updates on your case.

If a period of one year passes from the last date of contact with the NVC (by telephone, mail, or email), all submitted fees and documents will expire. If this occurs, your fees will need to be repaid and documents will need to be resubmitted in order to continue the immigration process.

NVC Journey for my sister

09/14/2011: NVC case number Assigned

09/15/2011: DS-3032 & AOS Fee Bill Received

09/16/2011: DS-3032 e-mailed to Supervisor SUE

09/16/2011: DS-3032 accepted by NVC

09/18/2011: PAID AOS & IV FEE

There are two "versions" of the I-864. There's the I-864 which is the basic form, but it's longer. The I-864EZ is just a shorter version with less questions, but you have to meet the 3 criteria to qualify to fill it out.

If you've already filled out the I-864, just stay with it. Even though you may qualify for the I-864EZ, you're not required to fill it out.

And electronic processing is only available to certain countries. According to your timeline, you're going through Turkey, which is NOT an eligible country.

Shame on NVC!!!

Yes, sometimes I see every now and then where a person can't use the AVR as it perpetually says "no case found". You shouldn't be relying on the AVR anyways. Always go with an operator as they'll have updates faster than the AVR.

I got my NVC case number!! I was looking to see, but I can't find it....Didn't we need an Invoice ID number also?

Grats!! Yes, call back and get the Invoice ID number. If the operator refuses to give it to you (I've seen this a lot), just hang up and call again. You need the IIN to log into the payment portal.

Ok. I got the case number, IIN and she also gave me a beneficiary IDN. She asked about our attorney and I told her we are not working with an attorney anymore. So she told me to send an email asking to remove the attorney. So I just did that now too.

Now what?

I'm so excited!! My heart is doing cartwheels!! Just knowing this tortuously, painful long wait is almost over!

Know what else I noticed? The people that answer the NVC phones are soooooo much nicer than the people that answer the USCIS phones. Strange.

Since you're going through Morocco, the Beneficiary ID number will be useless as that's for online forms, and Morocco isn't eligible for those online forms. So you can disregard this number.

I'd suggest sending the DS-3032 now. But be warned, it MIGHT be rejected cause when they get to it, they might not be ready yet to accept anything for the case. You'll get a response saying this. If this does happen, just re-send the DS-3032. This way, in case they do accept the DS-3032, you wouldn't have wasted a few days.

And yes, I remember getting very nice operators at NVC. There was only one that pissed me off...
