If you follow the template that I linked, you'll know you don't need to scan anything, or sign or anything. And they have the email address listed in the instructions at the top. No need to mail anything. Just follow the instructions and it'll be accepted within a few days.

Thanks for the help. I am in paranoid at this point. So scared to mess up.

Thanks for all of the useful info Saylin. We just got our NOA2 on September 23 and hopefully our NVC case number will soon follow, but judging from the previous posts this may take a while. How soon after receiving NOA2 should we start calling the NVC?

I would agree with Ryan. Wait a week, then start calling. Even before this backlog, that was the suggested timeframe before starting to call. So next week, start calling NVC every single day. You probably won't hear anything about your case number, but you'll at least be on top of things for when your case number is assigned.

Not really possible for England. You should do the medical as soon as possible because I believe for England, the panel physician mails out the medical to the embassy, so you'll want plenty of time for it to get to the embassy on time.

And if I'm also right, since you're in England, you can do an advance medical, meaning you can bring the NVC letter you get (with all the info on it like NVC case number, IIN, etc) and you can book your medical. Not a lot of panel physicians allow this, so I'd suggest taking advantage of it and scheduling the medical asap.

I am confused. I thought we could not book the medical exam until we hear from the Embassy as they will send us the name of Medical Facilities to use. ???? I just paid AOS.

I've just talked to an operator from NVC and she had informed that my case had been completely entered into the system on Friday. I got my case#, IIN and ID that day as well. And she has informed, in order for me to be able to sign into payment portal, I should have an e-mail from NVC. And she sounded like they had no clue when that e-mail is gonna go out.

What is the approximate time now (due to NVC backlog) for the AOS payment to be invoiced after your case is completely in the system and you have your case#, IIN and ID on hand?

Thank you.

Some countries allow advance medicals. For those countries, as soon as you get the first email from NVC with the case number on it, you can book an interview. The two countries I know of that allow this are the Philippines and the UK. Otherwise, you have to wait until you have an interview date. This is what I had to do since I'm from Canada where, as far as I know, no advance medicals are allowed.

I'm not too sure, but it's probably around a week. Just keep checking the payment portal to sign if you can log in and pay the AOS. It might only occur when you get the first initial information package from NVC by email. Good luck!

Thank you, Saylin ! Was it though for me OK to OPTIN before that first initial information package from NVC ?

Yup. I sent the optin email a few hours after getting my case number from the operator. I'm hoping you get an acceptance sooner than I did. Waiting 16 days was ridiculous headbonk.gif

Thanks again (F)! I hope too for that speedy acceptance :D. Thank God, we've avoided government shutdown again, so NVC will still be opened .

Yeah, I've seen a few recent EP cases where they got a response within a week!

And phew! I remember when I had finished with NVC and was waiting for my interview that there was a possible government shutdown coming. Thankfully, it was avoided or I would have missed my interview headbonk.gif

Ive re-sent the DS 3032 because I think the last email i got was not saying they received it, it said they received my email but were unable to add third party information at this time? Then that day i received the DS 3032 instruction email. The IV bill is still not generated either.

So ive sent it a second time.

AOS bill is paid but waiting for paid status.

Yeah, if you got a response back saying they couldn't add information, it means it was too early as they hadn't fully finished getting all your information in. But good job on sending it out again so soon. Now that you received the initial information package from NVC, then it will be accepted this time around.

And the IV bill won't be generated until a few days AFTER the DS-3032 has been accepted. So, probably next week.

And your AOS should appear as PAID very soon and then you can send the AOS package if you want to or wait till the IV is appearing as PAID, and mail them both in the same envelope at the same time.

Just send the IV papers off. Now we're praying for no RFEs and a speedy CC. Am a bit paranoid at this point and worried we did something wrong. But I guess it's out of our hands now and all we can do is wait for the next message from the NVC :)
