Ok so sent the DS 3032 via email and received the automated response. How long until they send an email to approve this?

And when you pay the Bills online, do they send a receipt to your email, so you can print the cover sheet with the bar code off your email? because his cousin doesnt have a printer to print the cover sheet off (hubby doesnt have bank account set up right now).

It took a couple of days for me to get the DS-3032 response.

When you log into the payment portal and the bills show as paid you have the option to print the cover sheet and receipt or email them to your own email address. But even if someone else has paid it you can still log in on a computer with a printer attached and print the documents.

It takes a few days to get a response back from NVC on the DS-3032. Hopefully, by the end of this week.

Yes, they send a receipt to your email. NVC usually also sends the bar-coded cover sheet, but it's also available on the payment portal when the bill appears as PAID. This is where most people get the bar-coded cover sheet.

Fingers crossed.

By the way, in case there are any other UK beneficiaries out there who have been married before, London requires the original (or certified copy) marriage certificate from all marriages. I didn't realise that until I saw this: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/329952-anybody-else-have-this-happen/page__p__4907568__fromsearch__1#entry4907568

I'm not sure if it is a requirement for any other embassies. I don't have mine because I had to hand it in when I was divorced so I have had to order a copy.

Ohhhh thank you for this....I totally missed it..will get on top of that now. I am assuming I just need mine (Beneficiary) and not my husbands previous marriage certificate?

Anyway, thought I would join you folks on this thread as NVC have recieved my file..of course too early for a case number!

But trying to get organized.

I have tried to find a sample employment letter that suits our circumstances. I thought I had seen one somewhere on this site..but of course now I need it...I am blessed if I can find it.

It was a letter, for a new job..so said something like the projected income etc

I wonder if any of you have a sample or suggestions on what the letter should say.

I was thinking something along the lines of:

To whom it may concern

I certify that (petitioner name) has started employment with (company name) as (job title) on (date. This position is permanent, not temporary and his projected income is $xxxxx.xx.

If you have any concerns or queries please do not hesitate to contact me.

Yours ...blah blah.

Now as this will hopefully be sent soonish. I doubt there will be any pay stubs..however, we do have paystubs from his previous employment.

Our w2's are very weak. As he was only working in the USA from November last year. So 2011 is a small amount and 2010 and 2009 are nil as he was working in the UK.

so my questions are:

1. do you think that kind of letter would be ok?

2. send all w2's with a covering letter?

3. Send paystubs from previous employment?

We are trying to do this without a co-sponser. Although we could get one.

4. should we fill in an I-864 for a co-sponser, incase they don't like our w2's and the fact he has started a new job...or does it not really matter?

5. We are also hoping to expedite NVC..crosses fingers...anyway that raises other thoughts...or maybe I am just very confused...but the I-3032...is it worth me putting my husband to act my agent or just do it for myself. I am kinda hoping the whole file will just be sent to London.

Anyway, thanks for your help.

You're welcome. I just came upon it by chance and I'm so glad that I did. But yes, just the beneficiary.

I found this for the employment letter : http://www.visajourney.com/content/support

Basically, your employer letter should state "To whom it may concern: (first name, last name) has been employed

full-time with the XYZ Company since 200_ as a (name of your job), and is an employee in good standing with an

annual salary of $XXXX. Signed, John Doe, Supervisor (or whatever title)" The letter should be on company

letterhead.

I'm no expert (and Saylin will correct me if I am wrong ;) ) but I guess if you think you are borderline on the AOS it might be an idea to have a co-sponsor just to save on delay if they decide you need one.

I think you need to put your husband as the agent on the DS-3032. They will email you as well. The fees have to be paid from a US bank account which is why they will want to invoice someone who is in the US. I guess if you have the a/c numbers you will be able to make the payment.

Again I'm no expert but I'm pretty sure that even with an expdite NVC will not forward your file to London until you are complete with them ie fees paid, AOS and IV packages sent to them, reviewed and approved.

Have you booked your medical? You can do that as soon as you get your case number. I had mine Monday and I need to get some info from my GP on an old illness so I'm glad that I have plenty of time to get that sorted.

Hope you get your case number soon. It took us exactly a month - soo frustrating!

Since the IV package is all about the beneficiary, yes, you only need your previous marriage certificate and not your husband's. You should bring a copy of his though to the interview, just in case they request it.

The employment letter you wrote above is perfect! Just make the job title in the employment letter is the EXACT SAME you write on the I-864.

And since you just got your NOA2 last week, you should have enough time to get at least one pay stub since it has been taking about a month from NOA2 to case number assigned. I wouldn't send the previous pay stubs as that means ZERO to NVC as he's not working there anymore. You can only send pay stubs from a CURRENT job.

Since you have an option at NVC with either sending the most recent year or the last 3 years, since his income was nothing in 2009 and 2008, then I suggest not sending that tax information (either transcripts or 1040s and W2s). He should just send in his 2010 tax information, so either a tax transcript (preferred by NVC) OR a copy of his 1040, W2s, and any other schedules. Then make sure you have as much proof as possible of CURRENT income.

How much is your husband making NOW? If it's close to the poverty line, you might want to consider getting a co-sponsor to be safe...

And whether you expedite or not, it's always suggested to appoint the USC as the agent on the DS-3032. But remember this, the form is pretty useless if you both give over your email addresses to an operator when the case number is assigned. When you give over both email addresses, correspondence from NVC gets sent by email, not snail mail. And it gets sent to both of you. So honestly, appointing him as agent won't really make a difference.

And I hope you have a really good reason (and proof) to expedite.

Wow, this is the first I've heard of needing previous marriage certificates. NVC doesn't ask for them so why does the London Embassy care? It is standard practice to turn them in when you get divorced in the UK. Does this have anything to do with tracking a name change? Otherwise I don't really see why they want it.

Fingers crossed.

I don't know why they need it, maybe it is to track name changes as you say. But I came across it in this thread: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/329952-anybody-else-have-this-happen/page__p__4907568__fromsearch__1#entry4907568 where someone was denied at interview because they didn't have theirs and from that I saw that it is on the London Embassy list http://london.usembassy.gov/application_documents.html.

Marriage Certificates: Married applicants must obtain an original marriage certificate, or a certified copy, bearing the appropriate seal or stamp of the issuing authority. A certificate is required for all marriages, including those that were dissolved.

I have ordered one from the General Records Office: https://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates/default.asp. It costs £9.25 and will be shipped in 15 business days. You can pay extra for an expedite but I got an extra birth certificate earlier in the year and that arrived well within the time frame they gave.

Are you absolutely 100% certain you inputted the case number correctly? That you put in the 3-character embassy code correctly?

If you just got the case number last week, it could still be possible that the AVR is behind. Although I have seen a case here and there where the AVR never works, it always says "case not found". Which isn't a big deal.
