I sent the DS-3020 using the VJ email template as soon as I got my case number. I got a response a couple of days later to say that they couldn't amend my details at that point but soon after that I got the DS-3020 email from them. I responded by resending my original email and it was accepted after a couple of days. At that point we could see the invoice on the payment portal but we couldn't select it. A day or so after that we received the invoice by email and at that point we could pay it. Just have to be patient I guess. At least it is only days now and not weeks or months as it has been up to this point!

I guess I will receive their respond e-mail by next week. I sent DS-3020 by the beneficiary 's e-mail on Sept 15. However, I just hit the reply button from the e-mail of the NVC sent to my wife. I don't know if they accepted because they require the case number on the Subject line of the e-mail. I did not wrote the case number on the subject line because when you hit the reply button it just has the content that you want to send.

When sending the DS-3032, you're supposed to send your own email following this template: http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/Email_DS-3032_form If you just replied to an email from NVC, they won't accept it.

Don't worry about this. The AVR is usually a few days behind. Since you just got the case number this week, it'll probably update this coming week to reflect a case number has been assigned.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!

Got the case number!

Whats next?

Grats on getting the case number! I'd suggest sending the DS-3032 off. The template is linked in the first post in this thread. If you do get a reply back saying they didn't accept it, then it means they're not ready to accept forms. So just send another one. You can wait until you get the initial information package, but you might be able to save a day or two if you send it right away.

So tried to log into the payment portal. But says sign in failed? Do i need to wait or call them back?

Also, can I pay this bill with my international mastercard?

Don't worry about that, just wait it out. It means they're inputting your case into the system. When they're done, the AOS bill should be available to be paid.

And no, you can't pay with a mastercard. The AOS and IV bills have to be paid from a US bank account. You need the routing and account numbers.

Grats on the bill showing as PAID! Tell us when he's sent the IV package :)

And grats on the medical. And good idea on getting medical info, just in case. Definitely wouldn't hurt getting it.

Once the IV package is sent, you could get a CC as early as the end of next week!

Fingers crossed.

By the way, in case there are any other UK beneficiaries out there who have been married before, London requires the original (or certified copy) marriage certificate from all marriages. I didn't realise that until I saw this: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/329952-anybody-else-have-this-happen/page__p__4907568__fromsearch__1#entry4907568

I'm not sure if it is a requirement for any other embassies. I don't have mine because I had to hand it in when I was divorced so I have had to order a copy.

So I was looking at my appointment letter and I noticed that on the last page, listed as the first item on the table where they list the documents you should have sent to NVC is something called "correspondence instructions" with the document status listed as "C - Direct inquiries to your consulate/embassy".

I believe the correspondence instructions is what you just read, the interview letter. Don't worry about it.
