Just received email and text alert for NOA2 for my wife's I130. I'm happy but I also submitted my step daughter in the same packet with the same NOA1 date (July 28), so I am still waiting for her NOA2.

Just wanted to share with you all. I know the waiting is tough.

I will be calling customer service in the morning to follow up on my step daughter.

AFTER 197 DAYS OUR NOA2 FINALLY CAME!!!!!!!!!! :dance: :dance: I RECEIVED A TEXT WITH THE GREAT NEWS!!!!!!! Im a July 26th filer. They are coming guys, slowly but steady. I really hope this is the longest wait of the whole process, almost 200 days

We are mid of July and no approval for us. I think they have skipped us . maybe they put our file in a corner and forgot about it ?? Should we call them or let it go and it will work itself out ?

We got an answer today by email but dated 02/14/2012. It was an RFE.

After watching lots of applications filed after mine get approved, I broke down and called my senators and congressman. Weirdly though, I got an email from my congressman today saying that he called the service center and was told that our I-130 application was approved yesterday. However... the website still says we're in initial review.

I called USCIS about this discrepancy, and they had no idea what was going on. A woman at USCIS told me the following things through the course of the phone call:

1. It hasn't been approved.

2. Maybe it's been approved, but it takes a while (up to a month?!) to enter it into the computer system.

3. Our service request was cancelled yesterday, indicating possible approval.

4. It's on its way to NVC, so that means it must have been approved.

I have no idea how to feel about any of this. I want to be excited, but I'm hesitant to start being hopeful about this process. What do you guys think?

I should have probably posted this in the NVC forum but since a lot of folks on this thread had their I-130 approved the same time as mine, so thought I'd try here first.

So I paid the AOS fee yesterday and it cleared today. The IVR now says to download the AOS form from www.immigrantvisas.gov. Obviously I paid the bill online. So my question is - should I not be waiting for the NVC to generate the I-864? Or should I just fill it out and mail it on my own, since I have the coversheet with the barcode (downloaded after I had paid the AOS bill)?

Edit - The payment status online is 'PAID'.
