Just got off the phone with my Representative who just got off the phone with CSC. I was told that I might be processed by the end of the week... we shall see what happens soon.

So your case was being worked on already when the Rep called? Or it's going to be worked on now that the service request is in? Or you don't know? And sorry I'm horrible with this quoting stuff so far (I'll get the hang of it).

Not sure. I doubt it. I suspect strings were pulled or something of that nature. My Rep's person told me that the CSC person told him he'd request to have the file pulled. That implies to me that no one was actually working on it and it is probably still stuck in a huge stack somewhere.

Honestly, I'll be shocked if it really is finished by the end of the week. Either way, it's nice to just get some kind of action out of someone instead of just endless run around. :)

I just called the Spanish line... I was going to have my wife speak because she sounds nicer and is a better speaker lol, but I ended up just speaking in English on the Spanish line. They speak both languages (pretty sure it's a requirement). Not surprisingly, the person I talked to was much more helpful and much nicer... Don't get me wrong as it probably isn't the case with all of them, but it might be due to the fact that a lot of the bilingual Spanish/English speakers would CARE more for obvious reasons... They told me it should be done within 30 days... Hoping so!!!

Whatever the case, it's just awesome that you got them to do something!... and I'm going to just tell people to not give up when calling USCIS... You are most likely going to encounter an idiot that shouldn't be doing customer service a few times before you get a hold of a nicer person... I felt like giving up because they can be quite unhelpful and uncaring (get's the spirits down), but if you keep trying you'll find somebody who'll say or do something that'll appease you.

I thought you or others said that was virtually worthless... But I'll give it a shot here soon!

Sorry, said this not realizing you received that call from your REPRESENTATIVE. :bonk: :bonk: Definitely going to try that route!

How did your Rep call CSC... Did they call USCIS first and were transferred or... what's the number for CSC?... I'm making a letter for my congressman (there is no telephone number apparently).

They should have a phone number. You'd find it on their website usually under a heading similar to needing help with federal agencies and the like. As to what number he called, no idea. It was all done as a back end process, know what I mean?

We tried that and got a generic response. Now we tried a regular service request and I bet it rings out nothing also. I give up!

I contacted my Representative yesterday. They emailed me today saying that they've contacted CSC, who should get back within 1-3 days (I'll get back here with what they say)... How did you get a service request? Luck? I've tried a couple times and they use the June 16th date to shew me away.

Am I alone in feeling like they're bragging and rubbing salt in some pretty painful wounds?

It's nice that they got approved so quickly. Bully for them. But to post a thread dedicated to calling out that they got approved in 8 days when they have to down that there are people who have waited 10.. 20.. 30 times that long... just seems... wrong.

Called USCIS June 16 still for the last 3 months! The man said "until they are ready to make a decision it won't happen". I told him they are working out of sequence. Hence the 8-30 day approval range on here. He seemed startled said "out of sequence" and gave me the usual run around.

Who knows if it is even true. I know they are pouring salt into a wound followed by clorox and trying to dry it off with a cloth made of thorns. I am very upset. Hence I waited 178 days and counting a total 170 days more than them. It seems hurtful that these people come on here bragging. This system is not fair and I wish there were something I could do about it!
