Hello folks, im just wondering about a denial cause of insufficient income. Im wondering if after someone is denied because of that reason are there still any way for them to maybe look for a co-sponsor after they are denied? and then they could ask for another interview date just to submit another affidavit of support and from a co-sponsor. or they will be totally deny entry in the US? and wont be given a chance to look for a co sponsor? im just really curious to know. thanks

Not sure who this is, the petitioner or the beneficiary. I will take the perspective of the petitioner.

If you are concerned about it enough to post, can you supply a "sponsor" in advance?

If your Fiance has not yet had the interview, plan for success and get an I-134 from someone that can be a co-sponsor for her.

Are you familiar with the poverty guidelines of income? If not, suggest you "read up" quick.

Do not have her go into an interview with doubts. You do not want to dig yourself out of a hole.

Plan for success!!!

afparks,

As a practical matter, if you're below the poverty level and don't already have someone helping you out, the consulate will be doing both you and your spouse a favor by denying the visa. It's not fun to be cold and hungry, and financial issues are at the heart of many a divorce.

If there's cause for concern... find a co-sponsor post-haste. Don't take the 'wait and see' approach.

8-30-05 Met David at a restaurant in Germany

3-28-06 David 'officially' proposed

4-26-06 I-129F mailed

9-25-06 Interview: APPROVED!

10-16-06 Flt to US, POE Detroit

11-5-06 Married

7-2-07 Green card received

9-12-08 Filed for divorce

12-5-08 Court hearing - divorce final

A great marriage is not when the "perfect couple" comes together.

It is when an imperfect couple learns to enjoy their differences.

Thanks everyone for the quick reply, actually im the beneficiary and my husband meet the income they are asking but i was just wondering if there are any other way for someone who is denied for insufficient income and was still given a chance by the consulate to get a co-sponsor. what i want to know is, is there any way for those denied by insufficient income to reopen their case and they will get a co-sponsor. or they need to go back from the start again and file the petition again?

You just advised that your Fiance meets the income requirements. Then why are you bringing this up again?

Are you asking for someone else? If so, tell them to take the advice given.

afparks,

If there is a defect in the visa application a K-visa applicant will most likely be told what the defect is and be given an opportunity to cure it. (The same might not be said for a B-visa applicant, they would more likely be denied promptly and have to submit a new visa application to present new evidence.)
