Hello everyone..

We just sent our petition and aos papers yesterday.. (i130,i485,i765)

the problem is i put the "wrong" address on the envelope..

i wrote--

U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY (WHICH IS SUPPOSED TO BE USCIS)

P.O. Box 805887 Chicago,

IL 60680-4120

--I know this is silly but do you think it will get to USCIS?

it got me confused because i just wrote the US DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY on the money order before i wrote the address down the envelope where i put my packet.

-- and another question.. since i used money order (bought em from walmart) to pay the fees. What is did was, i bought 3 separate money order

i130=$420

i485=$945

biometric=$85

my question is, do you think it's a good idea to separate the biometric fee from the i485 fee? because it clearly states on the i485 instruction that they prefer only one check for both. BUT walmart has a max of $1,000 on their money orders. That's why i decided to just separate em (though they were clipped together with my application)

Thanks to whoever can answer my questions.. :-)

Doubt it will make it to USCIS.. It will probably (and hopefully) be returned to you. How did you mail it? If UPS or FedEx you could probably just call them with the tracking number and try to get it back.

Three money orders are fine, many use them and they apparently always have the upper limit of $1000 - however, the amount is wrong.. the fee for I-485 is $985.

I think there is a good chance it'll make it actually, because the PO Box is correct. Worst case, they send it back. All you can do is wait and see.

Ok… thanks you guys..

my goodness gracious.. so either way they need to send my package back to me because the amount on the money order is incorrect.. hay! :-(

ok, so i need to correct my amount on the money order when i receive it.. but the problem is, i cannot return that to walmart because there's a writing on it already.

if i would return it though, i need to wait for 30 days before i can get my money back. :-( which is too long.. and we can't afford to wait any longer..

can we just possibly add another money order in an amount of $40 and clip it together with the rest of the money orders, of course i can only do this when i receive my package back.

hay… this is so frustrating guys..

how long do you think will it take for my package to be back? i sent it to USPS certified and receipt return… and it suppose to be delivered tomorrow Sept. 1.

i will try to get a hold of USPS tomorrow morning and see what they can do to help me hold my package.. oh.. this is so sad..
