HELP! Any one get a "Free To Marry Certificate lately 8/2011?

I just read last night that it says you must make an appointment for a Free to Marry Certificate and first one is in Oct 2011. I'm wondering if anyone was a walk in so I don't have to cancel my flight? Hope someone can help I'm leaving tomorrow God willing 9/1/11 maybe :crying:.

Would be nice to get answers for others in the same boat. I for one had to cancel my flight and sit here just sad as can be. :crying: <---- Me, :crying: <---- My guy!

Don't ever do anything you're not willing to explain the paramedics.

Hi Morena_boricua, at the Embassy I was told you could walk in as in no appointment to get a "Free To Marry Certificate" but I read that you have to make

an appointment now. I was just wondering if anyone had gone with out an appointment and gotten in. Not that it matters for me now. TY.

I'm sorry for that .I remember when me and my wife'' my fiancee at that time'' tried to get married back to 2007 they said we wont give that free to marry certificate to any one .Cause the USA embassy in Cairo had a problem with the Egyptian ministry of justice .And I lost alot of money due to that stupid thing .Cause i booked a flight from Alexandria to Sharem Elshiekh as a honey moon,5stars hotel,wedding ceremony place in Alexandria ......And we could not get married .It took them about 9 months to get that problem fixed .''From April 2007 to Jan of 2008''

Geez so sorry for that sounds horrible and I remember reading about that problem. They just don't care about how we feel it's like we're cattle to them just

a inconvenience. Read lot's of horrible stories of the employees there. I'm happy it all worked out and pray mine will also.

Can't say I'm not heart broken I'm still trying to see if I can save my flight. Just really tired right now nothing has gone right but not going to stop. Just hope and pray

nothing changes there until I arrive and get my Free to Marry.

One of the other ladies (who married this year) did tell me you need to make an appointment now. I hope you are actually on your way over. Have a wonderful time. Keep me up to date.
