Is it OK if the Beneficiary will do the Follow-up thru email/call?

Hello Everyone,

My fiance received a letter from NVC that the petition will be soon be forwarded to the respective US Embassy (Manila) in about a week. So since 1 week is over, can I (beneficiary) do the follow up whether they received it or not? Well, my fiance is having a hectic schedule this week and I dont want to wait and waste days without taking any action on my end. :blush:

I believe that the next step is to receive an appointment letter from USEM? Then, I will schedule my medical as well as paying visa fee thru bank by then.

Hope you can enlighten me on this. Thank you!

01-30-2012: Submitted AOS application thru USPS (Chicago Lockbox)
02-06-2012: Received Text/Email, application received by USCIS
02-10-2012: Received mail/hard copy of I-131 (NOA)
02-15-2012: Received mails/hard copies of I-765 & I-485 (NOAs) / Mail for Biometrics Appt.
03-06-2012: Biometrics Appointment done
03-14-2012: Received mail for Interview Appt on 16th April 2012.
04-04-2012: EAD/AP approved
04-12-2012: EAD/AP card received ;-)
04-16-2012: Interview day - Approved! (waiting for GC)
04-23-2012: Welcome Letter touched
05-03-2012: GC on hand!

yes you can.. i emailed them my self and they replied to me... u dont need to wiat for appointment letter... pay the visa then schedule... then do your medical.. medical doesnt have any appointment.. walk in first come first serve basis..

You can write or call them anytime. My fiance submitted the I-129f and I did the rest of the work after our NoA2 approval :)

AOS

08-30-2011 - AOS/EAD packet sent

09-12-2011 - NOA1 for AOS/EAD with 09-08 notice date

10-11-2011 - Biometrics appointment (appointment letter received on 09/19)

11-03-2011 - EAD card production request

11-14-2011 - EAD in the mail

12-08-2011 - Interview date (e-mail notification date 11/08) APPROVED!

12-13-2011 - Card production ordered

12-14-2011 - Card mailed to our address

12-17-2011 - Got gc in the mailbox! Valid until 12/13/2013 <wonderful christmas gift>

However, I am currently in abroad at this time and can't leave til Oct. Can medical appointment be done thru online? just like the visa fee?

the medical doesnt have appointment.. u can go like when ever u want as long as u have the req and u have ur MNL case no. how ever u can register online so that when u go there less hassle for u coz ur in their system already.. http://www.slec.ph/us/registration/ just click the link! sorry sa english heheeh

Awww, thats fine :innocent::D . So I will register first on the link you have provided then represent this to SLEC itself. Yes, I do have MNL case number. Can I register now, though my plan is to go by next month? And also I need to know how long does the medical take(?)
