Hi There as some of you may remember from my previous posts I came to US on B1/B2 Visitors Visa/Border Crossing Card. My mom who is a LPR (through older sister who is marryed to USC) filed for me F2A catagory. Everything with that was going fine until my I-94 expired as well as my Visa just this past June. The very special someone whom I met upon arriving to the US proposed and we got married. He wants to help me with this process by him petitioning for me. Right before we were about to get married however my father passed away (May 25th) and I couldnt cross back to Mexico without being barred. After what seemed like ages of crying and wanting to go back I decided to stay for the sake of seeing if what Ive been through so far will pay off in the end by being happy with my husband and having at least a GC.

Now things are a bit better Ive had nothing but love and support from my wonderful husband and he has been helping me deal with my fathers death. He finally got a good job and we were able to save up for what this process will cost financially. Now I just need a refreshment pretty much of what it is we need to get together to file for AOS from within the US petitioned by USC spouse.

Can anyone please help me out I have looked at the Guides on here for the I130 and I485. They look very simple so far Ive checked off a couple of the things that are required on the bona ifde marriage part...

1. Documentation showing joint ownership or property; or (NONE)

2. A lease showing joint tenancy of a common residence; or (CHECK)<renting out a room in my sisyters home>

3. Documentation showing co-mingling of financialresources; or (CHECK) <bank statement with mine and his name??>

4. Birth certificate(s) of child(ren) born to you, thepetitioner, and your spouse together; or (NONE)

5. Affidavits sworn to or affirmed by third parties havingpersonal knowledge of the bona fides of the maritalrelationship; or (CHECK)

6. Any other relevant documentation to establish that thereis an ongoing marital union. (WHAT ELSE MIGHT THIS BE??)

ANY FEEDBACK IS GREATLY APPRERCIATED!!

The "what else" can be photos, documents showing shared credit cards / membership cards / joint phone plan, shared insurance, life insurance with your spouse as beneficiary, post cards with both of your names on them.. anything that shows that you two have been in a legitimate relationship for a while. Don't overload the initial package with photos and postcards and such, you can and should bring more with you to the interview once that takes place.

Other than that, follow the visajourney guide, read all the official instructions for each form (though they can sometimes be excruciatingly vague and complicated), and just double check all your paperwork before sending it out.

Good luck!

Thank You! Okay we have plenty of those things so that should be easy.

I remember someone telling us that he had to get a job...? Now that he has one

what, how or where does that come into play? I see nowhere to fill out where he works in any of the forms...or am I misssing something?

Thanks
