Could there still be an interview for I-485 after GC ordered?

Hello,

My question is: Even though a card production was ordered for the I-765, will an interview still be scheduled for the I-485 in the near future? Is it possible to be granted a card for EAD, and denied the AOS?

Yes, it is possible to get the EAD and for the I-485 application to be rejected after that. EAD is issued routinely, and has nothing to do with the outcome of the actual I-485 application. If you are doing AOS from tourist, student or work visa, you will definitely have an interview - whether it is in the near future or 3 months from now, no one can say. But they will interview you and your spouse before making a decision on your case.

yes you can get an EAD card and be denied AOS your EAD card is then canceled at the same time as your AOS is denied.

People adjusting from work/student/visitor will have an interview for the I-485.

There wouldn't be an interview after your green card was ordered, but it looks like in your case your EAD was ordered. EADs are pretty much always granted without an interview, but if your 485 application is denied after the interview, your EAD would also be canceled.

According to your profile, you are adjusting from an F-1, so you are pretty much guaranteed to have an interview prior to receiving a green card. Those adjusting from K-1s don't always have an interview but if you are adjusting from a non-immigrant visa, you'll have one.
