Another question. My wife had all of her documents, emails, photos, etc. very well prepared for the first interview... except for the DAS info on my travels and my 2008 and 2009 tax information (so we are getting that documentation together quickly no problem for the second interview). She was given a document noting those docs were missing and told to return when she has them for a 2nd interview. Is it common to be asked to return for a second interview or should we be concerned? Everything is on the up and up and we have ALL the other info you could possibly ask for. Are we both worrying too much? Has anyone every been refused for no good reason?

Thanks, stressed :)

Relax...she just needs to show the documents missing and you guys will be fine. I understand the anxiety that this process generates, however, try to cool down a bit, specially when collecting documents and double check twice if necessary. When we had our interview. I did the whole package...checked three times...the morning before going to the airport...and still had a horrible flight thinking I had left something behind...good luck and keep us posted

Yes, that is exactly what happened Felo. She is in the process of doing what you just described. Sounds like it is part of the normal process and no need for us to be too concerned. Thanks for your message... it helps big time.

Why did they ask for your DAS travel info? Are you the petitioner or the beneficiary. I thought only the beneficiary needed that report.

I am the petitioner. I had all my travel receipts but they questioned them for whatever reason, so they asked for the DAS report on me. Come to find out they are asking for the DAS for the petitioner as well more often. It's in packet 4 of the Appointment Package.

"DAS CERTIFICATE – Entries and exits to and from Colombia for the past 10 years for both the petitioner and all visa applicants over age 18."

My wife just did her second interview with the additional documents requested and she got her visa... which will be sent to her in the mail in 10 days or less. The first interview process was with a grouchy old guy who was kind of a jerk. The second was with a nice lady who simply looked at the documents and didn't get personal. Thanks to everyone who helped explain the process as we went. Stoked!!!
