Hey all, well fiance' sent me her docs, etc, today via FedEx, should be here on friday.

I have completed the G325A and the I-129F, still have to do the 'how we met letter', I followed the pre filled suggestion on question 18 and will use blank sheet and attach it. For fiance letter of intent to marry, the USCIS address, what to put there? The next place where it shows United States Department of State

United States Consulate, [name of country where Embassy is located]

[Embassy Address]

My fiance is Filipina and lives in Manila, So would the area in red be Philippines and the US Embassy address in Philippines? Rest I think I can figure out, lol.

And I also guess the I-129F cover letter as well? Sample letter explains it pretty well except for address of service center?

Thanks, you guys have been a vast help so far.

Hey jetdoc3037 - For my Letter of Intent to marry, I addressed the letter to:

United States Department of Homeland Security

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services

Attn: I-129F

2501 South State Highway 121 Business

Suite 400

Lewisville, TX 75067

I had no issues. At the interview stage, you can do another Letter of Intent dated closer to the time of the interview and then address it to the Manila Consulate at that time (that's what I did, but the Nairobi Consulate handed the letters back...they didn't require them).

I used the same address for the I-129F Cover Letter. I sent it Fedex that's why I didn't use the PO Box address :)

Men are like stars ~ there are a million of them, but only ONE can make your dreams come true. I found my STAR...

The Service center address for the Dallas Lock box makes sense to me for the cover letter....yes. And also for the USCIS service center address too, (Dalllas lockbox), for the fiance letter of intent, but not sure about the embassy address info in the letter of intent however.

@jetdoc/Ron--Glad to hear you are making good progress! Regarding addresses: there will be nothing addressed to the embassy at this point. Nor will you address anything to individual service center (i.e., do not address anything to CA Service Center or Vermont Service Center)***.

At this point (I-129f submission), USCIS/lockbox mailing address is acceptable as Ben & Jill has pointed out. Later, shortly prior to the embassy interview, VJ guide(s) are recommending/suggesting you and your fiancee each write an additional updated letter of intent. These updated letter(s) of intent, the visa applicant (your fiancee) will bring to and submit at the embassy interview. On these updated letter(s) of intent is when and where you will put the embassy address.

***You will use address Ben and Jill listed above if you decide to use express mail or courier. If you send your I-129f petition using the U.S. Postal Service then you would use the following address:

USCIS

P.O. Box 660151

Dallas, TX 75266

You are very welcome. The sample letter of intent here on VJ initially confused me, too, with the embassy address indicated at same time USCIS address was listed. Took some searching before I finally figured out the one sample letter on VJ guide page was being used as an example for two different letters at two different parts of ths process! I am glad that the information helped. I hope you will receive documents from your fiancee soon and may you have continuing good progress on assembling your I-129F petition. --RK

Excellent! I know you are very good at details so maybe you are already planning to do so but mentioning JIC: Highly suggested is (1) including USCIS Form G-1145 (E-Notification of Application/Petition Notice) with your I-129F submission and (2) setting I-129F aside when you feel all is completed, then picking up a day or two later and you and/or someone else look over all with "fresh" eyes before sending off. Just a thought. Good luck! Sounds like you are nearly there! --RK

RK, at first I was like, what the heck is this G-1145....then I looked in my stack and saw I already filled it out, lol. And yes, I will let the 129F set and look at it thur or friday, or even scan and email to finance and let her look at it.....I wonder if I could have you guys check it out? Oh, but our personal info is on the forms, hmmm....well I will make sure I check and recheck, good idea.

Thanks Bigdog, trying too, it is overwhelming a bit, without you guys it would be much worse.

how you met letter? I was able to complete my story of how me met within the given box by using Adobe Standard edition, typing it right into the form itself. It would be hard to convince me that you need a letter when they give you a box to provide the information in. This is only a petittion which is to see if you qualify to petition them.

These people are likely busy peole and will skim through it to get to the point. Now, if someone's whole relationship is sketchy, I'd write a story because when you get to the interview, they'll pour over everything. In my case, we met on the internet, communicated via emails, skype for a while, I flew there and met her on 7/20/2011 at 6 PM at a specific resort. We can prove we met. It's getting the Visa with the totality of information that I am focused on.

If you really want to pull on their heart.. do like I did and drop a tear on a photograph, smear it and appologize for the tears.

The address you put on the letter is irrelevant. It's considered a courtesy when you write a business style letter to include the recipients name and address in the header. It would be sufficient to just put "USCIS" or "United States Embassy/Consulate" without any street address. In fact, it wouldn't matter if you addressed the letter to Mickey Mouse on the planet Mars. The only thing that matters is the original statement of intent and the signature - this is what the I-129F instructions ask for.

12/15/2009 - K1 Visa Interview - APPROVED!

12/29/2009 - Married in Oakland, CA!

08/18/2010 - AOS Interview - APPROVED!

05/01/2013 - Removal of Conditions - APPROVED!
