What happens after your biometrics are completed? I know they are sent to the FBI so they can run a check on it, but does USCIS wait for the results before they continue processing everything? I'm just curious to know how this overall process works.

USCIS can't process the EAD and/or AP until your biometrics have cleared. Once they receive the biometrics, EAD/AP can be issued. You should expect to get your EAD card by the end of October. Depending on where your case is being processed, sometimes the interview notice actually comes before the EAD arrives. Now it's just a waiting game, unfortunately - so hopefully you have a lot of patience :)

What happens? More waiting...

But yes, they check to make sure you have not committed any crimes and that you are not on any watch lists. After you've been given the OK they issue you an EAD/AP card, an interview letter, or both.
