Hello all:

First, I'd like to thank the moderators of this website and forum. What a wealth of information this site is! Truly, thank you.

My situation: I filed my I-129F in early September and received the receipt notice today (Sept 18, 2006). I have browsed several of these forums, but still have a few questions regarding the process and the documents to be submitted. I understand that each of our situations is unique, so plesse bear with the questions. As for the application, I have sent in all the information that USCIS requested in the I-129F information sheet.

I filed my petition with the Nebraska SC, but I received an NOA from the California SC. Have checked the processing times at the CSC. Does a date of March 8, 2006 mean that they are just starting to process those? Looking at the timelines that many of you have submitted, it looks like it's taking 3-4 months before first action is taken, and that the average time is 7 months for the interview and visa. Is CSC processing slower than the other Sercive Centers?

What are the things I can do to prepare for an RFE? Also the IMBRA? I see a lot of discussion about the IMBRA. We did not meet through an international marriage broker? Is the IMBRA RFE subsequent to the process of the initial application? The form I submitted is: Form I-129F Instructions (Rev. 05/23/06) N. There are a couple of questions regarding the IMBRA on the form. So can I expect more RFE for this? What can I do to be prepared.

I met my fiancee during her visit to the US as a tourist.I am not asking for any professional opinioins, but, in your experience or to your knowledge, can my fiancee "safely" travel to the US while my application is pending or is being processed by the USCIS? What are the pros and cons of her travelling to the US prior to obtaining the visa?

Since my fiancee is a UK resident, what are the things she can do in advance of of RFE's or a visa interview? Is there a procedure to obtain the police report? Any information you can shed on this is greatly appreciated. Any other do's and dont's are appreciated.

I wish the very best for all of you waiting to get your fiance(e)'s here. Goodluck and Cheers.

Thank you again,

Yes all marriage based petitions get forwarded to CSC from TSC and NSC. The times on the USCIS site is their way of saying give them 6 months before inquiring about status.

You wont have IMBRA RFE if you used the new I-129F with the questions about "marriage brokers"

Should be able to visit while processing the petition, needs to demonstrate strong connections to return to the UK, such as letter from employer. I read about many able to do this.

Look carefully at the guides here, along with the embassy reviews about UK. If you provided all the evidence needed with the I-129F hopefully you wont get an RFE.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.
