Hello my wife is at the final stages filing for her three children to live in the US. She is a uk born citizen and then became a US citizen many years ago. She came back to england to petition for her three sons which has now taken eight years one of them is eight the other two are over twenty. I married her this year so now we all want to move to the US as most of her family are there. My wife seems to be confused over the affidavit of support and taxes, as she is a US citzen living in england does she put the england taxes down, she seems to think that only the american taxes apply and she will file zero taxes (this year as she managed to get an extension). She does own a house in the states but that is occupied by her other family members at present. She unfortunately didn't tell immigration that she is back living in UK, but she has 'set down roots' in US awaiting her children!

She petitioned for her children when she was a resident in the US thats why we think the process has taken so long, as everything is dealt with by immagration in the states.

I myself am going the I-130 DCF route at the US Embassy in london this seems to be the way to go going by what i have read on this site.

Also can you explain what 'domicile' actually means, my understanding is the country you're living and as part of the affidavit of support you need to be domicile in US. We have sufficient funds for all of us, but she did not pay taxes in US but has paid in the UK.

Thanks for reading any feedback would be gratefully appreciated, K&K
