Arroyo has lowest performance rating among 5 presidents

INQ7.net

PRESIDENT Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo has obtained the lowest overall performance ratings among the country's five most recent president, a July nationwide Pulse Asia survey released Sunday said.

Arroyo obtained an overall median performance rating of 4.0 on a scale of 0 (lowest) to 10 (highest) when rated on six issues: politically stabilizing the country, promoting economic growth, reducing corruption in government, reducing criminality, helping the poor and fighting the rapid increase in prices of goods and services, the survey organization said in a statement.

Her median performance rating indicates that half of Filipino adults give her a performance rating of at most 4, Pulse Asia said.

It said that former presidents Corazon C. Aquino, Fidel V. Ramos and Joseph E. Estrada each got an overall median performance rating of 6.0. Ferdinand Marcos received the highest rating among the five presidents: 7.0.

The Pulse Asia survey had 1,200 representative adults aged 18 years old and above as respondents. It has an error margin of plus or minus three percentage points at the 95-percent confidence level. The survey was conducted from July 2 to July 14, 2005 using face-to-face interviews and on its own own initiative, Pulse Asia added.

I agree. :) During his term, the Philippines was one of the most developed countries in Asia.

Yeah he is still kinda popular here in Hawaii, since he is Ilocano, and half the population of Hawaii is Ilocano.

You have to wonder if they found all the money he stashed around the world.

He sure has a lot of "relatives". You can find those everywhere.

His wife was just elected to congress in 2010

So was the Pac-Man.

On a side note, have they buried his remains yet?

Marcos burial decision out soon

MALACAÑANG is set to issue out soon its decision on the controversial Marcos burial.

Deputy presidential spokesperson Abigail Valte said the administration is working on the resolution of the burial of the late President Ferdinand Marcos, adding that President Aquino’s decision would be announced “in due time.”

Valte said Vice-President Jejomar Binay can better address questions on whether or not he has already made the offer to the Marcoses about the former President’s burial in Ilocos Norte.

Asked if the Palace would adopt Vice President Binay’s recommendation, Valte said it was clear from the beginning that what Binay presented was a “recommendation.”

Binay earlier said the Marcos family has already agreed to his proposal that the late President be buried in Ilocos Norte. The Marcos family, however, denied this.

Meanwhile, former First Lady and now Ilocos Norte Congresswoman Imelda Marcos decried the persecution endured by her family which still continues until today.

They don't want to bury his remains in the "libingan ng mga Bayani". I'm just wondering though if it's really Marcos' remains they're going to bury. It looks like a wax...it's more than 20 years since he died.

And his son, Sen. Marcos, will be the next president. Up to now I can't swallow the fact that Cory Aquino and her son were also elected to the presidency. Nobody will ever lose memory of the actuality that the Aquinos' Hacienda Luisita was spared by the agrarian reform law from being distributed to its tenants.

Pulse Asia is fairly respected in the Philippines. Marcos seems to outshine the rest in the poll.

You talk too much, boy. What you're saying (about the shoes and the money)is pure hearsay and just a predictable rehash of what you hear from the Marcos detractors.

Marie says actually like 2000 pairs or more. You should go visit the Malacanang Palace museum and see the shoes on display there. Marie calls all affairs of state, "Fashion Gala's" and PGMA was one of the most extravagant, wearing famous designer gowns everywhere she goes.

I'm a fan of Ferdinand Marcos. I think he is the most intelligent president the Philippines has ever had.
