Ok. So it seems venting must be the key to the golden ticket. And im the last one left. I swear the last ten months have been tge roughest of my entire life waiting on my noa2. And yes....i am a us citizen. I have called congressman, senator, ombudsman, and put in multiple service requests. And I just dont know whats left! I have gone through the whole spectrum of frustration both here and with my poor husband. He just says its all ok, though and deals with it so much better. As for me....one day im mad, one day im sad, one day I am nail biting angry at this process and the world. I went ahead and booked 3 more trips for myself to at least be with my husband since god knows how much longer this will take! But what I really want is for us to just actually get to go on living together like a normal husband and wife under the same roof!

Uscis says we are in extended background checks. Hogwash! Check out my timeline. Ive waited 2 years and 2 months already all together. I really think im gonna loose my marbles! What do I have to do to get those people to find my file and approve it already?!?!

It took 13 months plus from the time I petitioned my husband's visa until it was issued, I can sympathize with your frustration but just keep busy and pray that those who have any dealings with your case are blessed and push it through as soon as possible. It can be an overwhelming process, good luck once he is home all the wait will be well worth it.

God Bless,

There is a user here named Sara that got held up in the petition approval stage so long that the relationship fell apart. It was well over a year. She is still on once in awhile. Hopefully that doesn't happen with you.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

I was very close to that happening to me, really. This waiting and frustration can really put a strain on a relationship. But my husband is a good man and I just have to try to remember that this is all not his fault and get through it. In the meantime, I do have three separate 8 day trips booked between now and March. That is the best I can do with work and all for now. At least I will get to see him and be with him a little while we are waiting.

My guess is that I have already waited longer than the person you are speaking of. We had a finacee visa applied for in the summer of 2009 that was rejected at the consulate and allowed to expire back at USCIS. So this is my second petition for my, now, husband. We have tried to be as patient as we can. I wish I was one of those lucky people that can just move there but I cant just yet. So I guess I'll wait.....

I am so sorry! I honestly don't understand what could take them so long! I really hope you get through this process quickly, and your relationship intact. Good for you for thinking ahead and getting those trips lined up. You must keep your relationship alive.

Have you thought about other alternatives than him migrating here?

I have. I can't actually move right now. I have two kids in high school. Besides that...my husband isn't even working in his own country. So if I quit my job and move, then we have nothing. I can maybe do that eventually....but not now.

I am too. I think all of that was just my anger at this process and my frustration with this waiting being mis-directed at my husband. But I really took to heart a lot of the comments that were made to me. It helped. Anyway....now everytime I get back from a trip until March.....I know I already have another one booked. I figured knowing that will make it easier to get on the plane when it's time to come home.
