OK this is geting frustrating ... again!!!! As i already post it here, after 7 months of waiting we got the approval, our notice has the date 29 july. August is gone and the papers are still at NVC, can anyone tell me is this normal? Why it takes so long for them to send the papers to the US embasy in my country? And what can i do to find out what is going on? :( Thank you for the help!

Its not "normal" for a K-1 to sit at the NVC for so long. If there are no problems, at most, it would take a week to send it out from NVC.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

Lavi, I called NVC yesterday and was told my case was under additional processing...no timeline, no they don't know how long it will take, etc. Call NVC and ask them about your case. Make sure you have your NVC case number and both your birthdays handy. 603-334-0700. :star: GOOD LUCK!!!

Thank you all for your fast answers! Don't know exacly what DOS is, it is US Department of State or what, sorry...

We got our case number, my fiance called NVC today, after he called them like 2 weeks ago when they gave him the number, and he was told that our approval date is 5 august, and we should wait until monday and call them again. If we calculate from 5 august that means this is the 4th week, on the processing time it say it can take one to 4 weeks for NVC to send the papers to the embassy... So we wait this week and give them a call on monday and hope they will tell us something new. Thanks again and good luck to all of you!

my papers stayed at nvc for a month then they sent it all to my embassy August 18th still waiting on packet 3

2013-08-20 (DAY 8) Noa1 received via Text around 11pm, next day was email. Received my case numbers

2013-08-23 (Day 11)- received hard copy in mail for Noa1 gc , Work permit

2013-08-30 (Day 18) Received Biometrics appointment letter in the mail.

2013-09-17 (Day 25) biometrics appointment day @2pm Detriot

2013-09-25 (Day 33) received text and email , I485 changed to testing and interview

2013-10-02 (Day 40) received text message and email @7am about my interview date

2013-10-04 (Day 42) Received hard copy interview letter in the mail

2013-10-10 (Day 48) Work permit Card in production

2013-10-16 (Day 54) 2nd Text and email @830am Work permit in Production

2013-10-21 (Day 59) text/email notice 10am . Work Permit sent

2013-10-21(Day 59)Text/ email @9pm received text with tracking number -2 day delievery

2013-10-24(Day 62) received my work permit in the mail.

2013-10-25 Filled for my Social Security number today

2013-11-12 (Day 81) - Received text and email - Green card sent @1.15pm

keep calling

i was told for 3 weeks that my case was in AP at NVC and after the third week i asked to speak to a supervisor and it turned out they misplaced my file and put it in with all of CR-1 visas who were awaiting more papers or payments. I was never in AP, they just told me that to shut me up.

so keep calling and hopefully u will be moving soon
