Got too busy, and what a relief to know that the approval notice was sent.

Just reporting back that we did receive the new permanent card (it does look green nowadays - Nice!)

Recieved actual card on June 25th.

I hear you! We are in the "gap" too, and we're also moving soon! I thought for sure we'd be on the front end of the list for the ROC because we've been at the end of the line for everything else so far. At the rate we tend to go, I'm just going to assume that we won't receive a green card until after we've applied for naturalization in September.

I'm happy to see that MONKEYJUICE received their notice, but what is this GAP???? :-( It seems people later than this group (which includes me) are getting their cards.

I know I shouldn't stress... but I am! It's getting very close to my moving day, so please!!!! I hope it comes soon. No one is getting RFE's? That's great!

So you can get naturalized before you receive your 10 year green card? Are you sure? Good luck to you John & Mary! Vermont is 50% done and that happened in one month so we are going to get notice in less than one month! (Maybe just in time before my move and yours? I hope!)

Hello ALL,

After 9 months of waiting, I finally received the letter of approval in the mail today, July 5th, 2012!!! My online status remains on initial review and i have received no email or text even though i registered for email/text notifications... Anyway! what matters is that I finally was approved. The official approval date was 06/28/2012. :thumbs: :D :dance: :dance: :dance: :dance: :dance:

My online status remains on initial review and i have received no email or text even though i registered for email/text notifications... Anyway! what matters is that I finally was approved. To John&Mary and Canadian/American: I sincerely hope you get your approval before you move because from my experience, things go potty at USCIS after you move in the middle of processing.

Here is what happened to me.... We moved last November, 2 months after submitting ROC application. My husband sent an appropriate form, I phoned USCIS to let them know we moved and filled an electronic form (please don't ask me for their name since I can't remember it any longer). Couple of weeks later we get 2 letters from Texas service center; one for my husband and one for me. His letter basically said, thanks for letting us know, we have now amended our records, and mine said that there is no application under my name currently with USCIS. I was unknown entity. Well, I had to submit the NOA1 number since by that time I still have not received my biometrics letter but the whole thing just saying that I'm not in the system freaked me out big time. Surely they could search by my alien number too?! . Called the USCIS back and they told me that they cannot help me since I only have been in touch with them 2 weeks prior and changed the address then. I just couldn't get them to understand that no, I have not moved again withing those last 2 weeks, so I made and Infopass appointment to try and resolve the problem. The guy there was fabulous and sorted it out then and there but said the official letter to confirm change of address will take 4-6 weeks. Well, 4 MONTHS later, the letter did finally arrive!!! So I am pretty certain that my application will be determined with March 2012 filers instead of September 2011. Of course, I may be wrong but I'm yet to see a nice surprise coming my way from Vermont...

But I do hope the gap in the middle of September 2011 Vermont VJ'ers will be filled shortly and everybody's approval will speed up from now on.

I started my journey around the same time as Monkeyjuice, I filed ROC in Sep 11 and got an email on 07/03/12 saying my card had been produced, this was followed by a letter on 07/06/12 saying the same thing. It's only taken VSC 10 months!!!! Hope everyone hears soon
