My GC arrived today...thanks everyone and good luck to the rest of the VSC sept fillers !!!

K1 -visa:Timeline

6/26/08:resent the 1-129f package to VSC

8/21/08:received NOA1 in the mail,yeyeyeh i was relief after the long period of waiting

1/28/09:NOA2 received ...in 161 days from NOA1

2/10/09:received appointment letter from USEM

3/11 - 12 : MEDICAL -- passed

3/30/09: INTERVIEW -- APPROVED

4/02/09:VISA deliver at home at 2:45 pm

5/28/09:SSN arrived after less than 1 week from filling.

6/01/09:Wedding day.[/color]

07/08/09:sent the 1-485 forms for adjustment of status package to chicago (USPS)..Day 1

07/10/09:arrived USCIS,chicago...(when i checked the USPS post office)...Day 3

07/12/09:check cashed...Day 5

07/15/09:noa1 date for (AOS,AED,AP)i thanks god for everything...(date arrived,07/20/09)...Day 10

08/12/09:calling USCIS to check the bio apt...Day 35

08/25/09:bio notice date issued...Day 48

08/29/09:bio notice received.(thank u so much mama mary...)...Day 52

09/04/09:AP arrived in the mail (date issued 08/27/09)

09/09/09:biometrics done...

09/17/09:EAD = card arrived today...so happy...

10/03/09:interview notice received

11/05/09:AOS -- interview approved (thank u mama mary)...

11/16/09: GREEN CARD arrived today...

June 26, 2012 - The Hubbs received his 10-year Permanent Residency Card (aka THE Greencard) in the mail today!




At long last, this highly stressful leg of our journey has come to a close - for now - and we couldn't be more grateful and appreciative for all the tremendous help and support here on VJ! Without VisaJourney I doubt we would be where my husband and I are today! Thanks to all!

Hi everybody. I've been a longtime peruser of these forums. Filed ROC for my wife in sept 2011. Just got an RFE last week. It says we don't have enough to show good faith marriage, etc. When I filed the ROC, I had 2009, 2010 joint tax transcripts, a year's worth of statement from joint business account (we are both owners of a salon and work together everyday) Joint car Title, an invoice for a gold buillion investment along with a copy of the payment check (from joint account). Also we had just opened another joint personal bank account at another bank but only had 3 statements. The RFE letter said this account showed inconsistent activity. Also we had documents showing a joint safety deposit box. And we had car insurance documents showing both on the account. We did not summit pictures or affadavits.

The thing is, we don't have any lease, mortgage, utility bills, etc because we live with my parents. I have lived with my parents for the last 10 years, and when my wife came over she has been living there to now. Is living with mom and dad and having no bills associated with owning a home or lease going to be a big problem?

Anyway, I've started gathering stuff to reply to the RFE. So far I used one of those internet law sites to draft 2 medical power of attorneys with living wills for each person (husband +wife), with each naming the spouse as the one to make decisions in case of incapacitation. As well, I've called my insurance company to open 2 term life insurance policies for each person and each policy naming the other one as benefactor. As well I've got ongoing statements from out joint business account. The other bank account we hardly ever use so i probably wont even summit them. I am also getting my parents to do an affadavit saying we live with them, as well as a neighbor saying we live at the address. Also we opened an Edward Jones account in Jan and will summit those statements. But i'm kind of freaking out over not having bills or leases or mortgages. Any suggestions?
