So my package was received in Cali this morning.

I just saw the previous posts about using ACCO fasteners, I did use an ACCO fastener for my whole petition apart from using a paperclip for the check which was attatched to the cover letter. Will this be an issue if i used an ACCO Fastener for m whole petition?? :(

it wont be anything serious, it will just make it difficult to put your package together the way they want it to be.

Rejection Notice

That is all I could see through the address window. Inside they said my I-751 was not properly completed. They said my whole application was enclosed and I should correct the areas marked in red. BUT there was nothing enclosed. Just one lousy letter.

Return address was Homeland Security in Lincoln, NE. My original was mailed Thursday, Sept.1 to Laguna Niguel, CA.

so your application is rejected but there was nothing in it to fix just the letter saying it was rejected? Thats really odd... could it be a mistake?

No staple?

I staple my form I-751 together, all the attachments and the checks are separately inserted in every plastic sleeves in the folder. This is how I did mine before and I didn't have problem. I put everything in the folder. I stapled my form I-751 together, since its three pages and put it in plastic sleeves.

I didn't read in the instruction of I-751 about the staple.

I just log on to my bank account and it says WITHDRAWN - ARCCSC field OFFICE ACH $590.00 TRANSACTION ( PAYMENT ) Payed by personal check and money is gone. Thats the only way I know to check aside from calling the bank but if its not showing pending or withdrawn on your bank account then its probably not been cashed yet.

Mine actually got posted to my bank account today!!! date the check was cashed shows yesterday 9/8.

I am hoping I get a bigger envelope tomorrow. But to cover my bases I wrote to both addresses about my problem.

My check has not cleared yet.

Got my NOA today, yay! Dated 09/06!

@Chicagoguy, sorry to hear about the rejection letter with missing attachment, hope it gets sorted out quickly, cause it doesn't make sense.

Regarding staples/ACCO's etc, the line I posted from USCIS is just a recommendation. I didn't mean to scare anybody, so if you've already sent it with an ACCO or staples, don't worry, they are not going to reject your application because of it.

Chiming in for the September filers :) Shoulda sent ours out August 17th, but money's been tight and took us till now to get the payment together (gods, that's one thing I won't miss in the next 10 years, having to pay them every time I turn around!). Package is loaded, just gotta hit the PO tomorrow (or today, I guess it would be) to send it on it's way! I sure hope this part is quick and painless :D
