OMG!!!!! You will not believe this!!

I just received an email from USCIS about the service request I placed on Monday and this is what they had to say:

"The status of this service request is:U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) records indicate that your biometrics appointment is pending due to limited capacity at your local Application Support Center (ASC). Once an appointment becomes available and you are scheduled, you will be mailed an appointment notice informing you of the date, time and location of your appointment. USCIS apologizes for the inconvenience and appreciates your patience. If you have any further questions, please call the National Customer Service Center at 1-800-375-5283

#######??!! I'm just stunned... Since when is Orlando so special that it cannot process the bio appointments in timely manner? It takes less than 15 minutes to have your picture taken and leave the fingerprints... Honestly.....wacko.gif

The bio office didn't seem all that busy when I went for the AOS. I suppose this could mean a looong wait for me. ClockWatch2.gif Oh well, I suppose I'm in no hurry cool.gif

Its like they said to me " no you cannot do a walk in appointment " and I show up and its EMPTY. The 2 women were watching TV in the lobby because NO ONE was there for finger prints!!! yet a friend of mine has to wait till the end of October to get her prints done at the same place... HMMMM lol

-------------------------------------------- as1cE-a0g410010MjgybHN8MDA5Njk4c3xNYXJyaWVkIGZvcg.gif

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

I am a Citizen of the United States of America. 04/16/13

Ohh kat & a, sorry to hear that, that was an unexpected response :(

After 15 days from your last service request you can contact them again, is that right?

We met, we fell in love, we married, we live as one! And that's the way love goes...:)

I suppose I could phone them again, and I should but for a different reason. In 2 weeks time we are moving and I was so hoping to get an appointment before we go. There are just too many stories out there about lost/misplaced mail for my peace of mind.

It looks like I might be one of those who gets their naturalization papers before the 10 yr green card whistling.gif

Maybe you could keep trying walk ins ? If it is not far it could be every day before you move.

Don't I need an appointment letter to show up at the center even for early bio? Especially since everybody has been saying that the numbers on NOA and bio letters are different. I'm a bit confused.....unsure.gif

You wont be let inside without an appointment letter. You need an appointment to go get biometrics even if its an early walk-in you must have the letter.

See the NOA1.

Second paragraph:

"" In order to further process your petition, you will be receiving an Application Support Center appointment notice with specific time, date, and location to capture your fingerprints, photo, and signature. You MUST wait for your appointment notice before going to the ASC for biometrics. ""

When I went for my biometrics at the ASC they turned a person away because he had no letter.

Edit to add - also yes the case number is on the biometrics letter and it is different than the number on the NOA1.
