I'm starting to think I'll go for naturalization just to be able to get a government job and have some decent (for American standards) number of days off.

Just called USCIS again only to be told to wait for 30 days since NOA1 to expire before calling them again. So I have to wait another 8 days. Lucky me.....

I called USCIS and the operator just placed an order for a bio letter for me. He told me if I do not get the letter within 15 days to call them back with the service request ref number and enquire.He was very helpful and quick. He was unable to tell me if a biometrics letter has been ordered or not.

We moved a few months back and the reminder notice to remove conditions was sent to the wrong addres, despite my submitting a change of address letter 3 times. So the bio ltr may have gone to the wrong address too.

Lets wait and see.

Walk-in denied for me. There were like 55 people over there to do finger prints. Seems like only foreigner lives in this city.

Sorry. We're Chicago too. Were you at the one on Broadway? That's where I went for my Citizenship a few years back. I presume that's where my husband will have to go too. No letter yet. I was hoping he could do a walk-in too.

I suppose you are a whole week ahead of me in terms of NOA1 and that might be one of the reasons why they ordered your letter stat. Your 30 days end tomorrow so they might as well.

I've torn my left shoulder rotator cuff and am in so much pain that thinking clearly is almost beyond me. I was gritting my teeth when I spoke to the operator to stop myself from screaming in pain and just didn't have the will to pursue the matter further. Not that I could go for bio at the moment anyway, since I can't lower my left arm to give them the fingerprints without screaming. Oh well, hopefully by the time I recover, the letter will be here.

Really pleased for you though.

I think so too, my 30 days are up based on his question, which was 'when did I file my i-751' and it was 9/10/11 so that makes it 30 days past. If he would have asked for the date on the NOA then it would be tomorrow. I am kind of skeptical about the whole thing, until I get the letter in my hand I will not be able to realx.

I am sorry to hear about your injury, hopefully it heals quickly and its nothing serious. If you do not get your bio letter call them once the 30 day has ended. Good luck with it and keep us posted and I will do the same.
