Once the local embassy accepts your I-130 petition, and asks you to provide Pack 3 documents (DS-230, I-864...)to schedule an interview.

How long is that I-130 acceptance good for? Does it have an expiration Date?

let's say you only intend to move to the US, in 6-12 months, would they wait for your paperwork, or you have to pass the interview ASAP and leave soon after that.

Approved spousal visa petitions never expire.

If the local Embassy or Consulate does not have a USCIS field office, they will not accept the petition. The petition will have to be sent to Chicago. Morocco does not have a USCIS field office; the Embassy in Rabat and the Consulate in Casablanca will not accept the petition.

Yes, and once you get your interview notice, ask them to hold off on your interview until you're a few months from your intended POE date. Our consulate asked us to call/write back when we were ready, as they could only schedule interviews about a month in advance. Yours may have a backlog so plan for anything like that. Once visa is in hand, it does have an expiration date, but I have read that some will renew them if you haven't entered the US on the visa yet (ours would not).

How long is that I-130 acceptance good for? As long as the relationship exists. For siblings, forever. For spouses, until a death or divorce. Does it have an expiration Date? There is no expiration date for an approved I-130. The approval is revoked if the relationship terminates due to death or divorce.

let's say you only intend to move to the US, in 6-12 months, would they wait for your paperwork, or you have to pass the interview ASAP and leave soon after that.

It took my husband three months after the approval to get the interview, then after the interview it took 60+ days in AP. Then once he got the visa he had 90 days to enter the U.S. and get his green card. So even if you plan to move 6-12 months after the approval the process alone can take that long.

Good luck,
