We have had that discussion, her last name is on all documents at this point. Ii might ask the IO at the AOS interview, but you can always pay the money and change everything later. One of my best friends GC came with her new last name, don't really know the answer. During this process I would do the least problematic action. Follow your heart.

In Arizona its hot hot hot.

LOL. I changed my last name not too long after our wedding. There were some bumps along the road, but well worth it at the end. What matters the most is that I'm proud to carry my husband's last name and it was all an administrative process. My husband would have been crushed if I didn't change my last name to his. We were married in Cyprus and the very first change I made was my SSN. No problem whatsoever. Then I had to change my driver's license, bank accounts, and all of my other accounts that had my previous name. All of the changes took about a two months to complete. Believe it or not, in the US, a man can change his last name to his wife's last name. Yes, you will want to change your passport if you are changing your last name. I just had mine changed at no cost since the US passport was issued within the last year.

Once you apply for the AOS, you will want to use your married name if that's your legal name at the time of filing. Other VJers can chime in if I'm wrong.

Good Luck!!

Congrats on your upcoming wedding and best wishes to you and your family.

put the name on te application you want the greencard to be issued in

If you change your legal name then as you said duh.. eventually you will have to change the rest of your ID documents to match your new name
